MattQC: Hi Doc.Feel! What a pleasure to get YOU in the hot seat! As you're well aware, the Queerying series features interviews with some of today's hottest stars on the gay porn scene as well as other talents. Well you are certainly becoming quite the celebrity yourself! What do you think of your skyrocketing popularity on QC?
Doc.Feel: Me popular? Never!!!...lol People love to hate me. It's a curse... I just try to complete my assignments and letters without making my Editor insane.
Don't sell yourself short. QC fans always visit for the hot updates and steamy photos, but guys look forward to reading your column every week as well. You've gained quite a following.
Agreed, it has definitely climbed in readers and fans. I attribute most of that to QC's continued effort to improve the site and quality our readers expect. I love meeting the actors/stars/celebrities, but also I have a strong love for my Doc. Feel column readers.
How many messages do you receive on average from QC readers? Do you really get a chance to answer every email that is sent to you?
I do, sometimes it takes me two weeks, but I keep the answers running in a programed order. I generally get between 150-270 letters every two weeks.
Do you have any particular stories or people you have helped through the Doc.Feel column that stand out to you as highlights?
Definitely. Recently, I helped a young man relocate to safety from an abusive boyfriend. He had to move 3 states away with lots of Social Service intervention. I stayed up well into the night orchestrating it and he has begun a new life. I also recently had a Doc.Feel fan send me an Amazon credit which was donated to a youth GLBT charity. Most of my readers are just like everyone else. People in need of a reality check, listening ear or directed service(s). The night I helped the young man, I was exhausted and felt very rewarded afterward knowing he was safe.
I bet you did. That is amazing. If that young man is reading this, I hope you are doing well and are safe in your new location! It's great to know that QC is able to not only keep us entertained, but can extend out and help those fans who are in need of help.
Agreed, and QC knew that taking on Doc. Feel would be a useful tool to our community. My services to QC readers are free and sometimes that's all they can afford. QC is very dedicated to helping change the world and help out the GLBT community. That is why I feel at home working with QC. We all have to help one another. Porn is great, but life involves more than getting off.
Well put Doc.Feel! And we definitely all appreciate you offering your services to us. To turn the tables a bit though... You give such great advice to guys out there. Where does Doc. Feel go when he needs advice?
I am fortunate, I have several friends that are throughout the Psychological and Psychiatric communities. I also happen to be dating a professional in Law Enforcement who has been a rock to me. I have a great family and my best friends know my life and we share everything. My sons and best friend Anthony keep me on my toes and in a "happy place."
Awww... that's nice. It's always great to have support around you. Speaking of that "professional in Law Enforcement"... you've been with him a while now, right? What is your secret? Do you have any love tips for people on making that long-lasting connection?
We're old, but still new in the relationship...lol. It hasn't been long and yet seems like it's been a lifetime match. Love is never an easy journey. Life changes on a dime and we have to flow with it or get torn on the jagged edges. Communication is most important in a relationship and that isn't always easy. We all have our flaws and issues, but the happiness comes from loving all those aspects about your partner and not just the "good bits." My secret happens to be that I have never felt as important, loved and beautiful as I do through his eyes. His vision of me is more beautiful than any negative I could ever have about myself. That and my boyfriend looks so much like Sebastian Rivers it isn't funny...lol!
WOW! All of us single guys out there are so jealous of you now! Sounds like you have found your "happy place". Well speaking of being jealous... Many guys out there are jealous of you, because you've got to meet and interview some of the sexiest men of our favorite online sites. Who is one star you have not interviewed yet but would love to have the chance to?
Wow, there are so many... Let me think. Well… Three of my dreams just came true this week thanks to a fabulous connection I made through Sebastian River's agent. I guess my dream interview would have to be Jeff Stryker. I, of course, dream of an evening spent interviewing ChiChi, Doug Jeffries and Michael Lucas all in one room at once...lol. I get the amazing opportunity to go to Washington DC and interview Michael Lucas and Chad Hunt in December, so that will be a holiday gift in itself.... I have interviewed the amazing celebrity of Matt Rush, Johnny Hazzard, Sebastian Rivers, Ken Mack, Corbin Fisher and his men. I am working on projects/interviews with Tag Adams, Mick Powers, Peter Berlin, Eddie Stone and Howard from FabScouts. All these men are wonderful about welcoming me in and talking and sharing their lives. They also help me get other interviews and for that, I could never thank them enough. Several of which have become good friends. The adult entertainment industry is a tough one and yet, there is this natural fraternity of men that are helpful and willing to share.
Recently you went on a QC whitewater rafting trip. It sounds like you had a blast! Anymore trips or vacations like that planned for the future?
Yes, as I stated earlier, I will be doing a QC trip to DC very soon and that trip will also involve a trip to NYC and in February I have a very special trip planned to California for a few weeks. Plus things are always popping up and when they do, I hop on a plane, train or automobile and I'm there...lol
I bet a lot of those QC fans out there that work boring 9-5 jobs (like me) wish they could just hop on a plane and fly to places and interview hot men! What a great job you have.
It isn't all glamour, remember what industry I'm working in. It has it's moments, but I also have a family and life at home so it's all about prioritizing and an amazing data planner. The rafting trip ended up being just the most fun imaginable. Sebastian has become a dear friend of mine and my friends and together they created an amazing experience we wont forget.
Here's a fun question for you. Recently Adam Sandler starred in the movie "Click" where he had a remote control with special powers that could control everything around him. If they made a movie entitled "Queer Click", starring Doc.Feel, what would you do with your remote?
Stop the President of the United States from making any further unilaterally bad choices and rewind, hit pause and cut and paste Kerry into the movie.
That answer couldn't have been better in my opinion... but honestly, I was hoping for something a bit more juicy!
If you want juicy ask for it! Doc. feel is all about the man juice....lol!
Well in that case... if they were making a XXX-rated version of "Queer Click" starring Doc.Feel... THEN what would you do with your remote?
Hit pause and cut and paste Jake Gyllenhaal into my role... Then I would fuck the hell out of Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom and Ryan Philippe in the craziest 4orgy ever witnessed on TV.
YEAH! That's what I'm talking about! Well... while we're on this subject...You always ask in your interviews about the interviewee's fantasy man. Who is YOUR fantasy man?
That's easy, he is sitting beside me and again he looks like Sebastian Rivers, which Sebastian will attest to, so eat your heart out boys....lol!
I'm not sure if I should let you get away with that! Would you let yourself get away with that if you were conducting this interview?
If not my bf, then it would be my best friend Anthony, for he is the most beautiful and loving man I know. Celebrity wise it would be Johnny Hazzard or Vince Vaughn. So you win young grasshoppa!
Well I learn from you Doc.Feel! Never let the interviewee take the easy way out!
Indeed.
Besides QC, what are three other websites that you visit on a daily basis?
That's easy. MySpace, Google News, CNN
You're part of a great online community at QC, but do you get involved with your real local community? Are you involved with any community service groups of initiatives in your area?
I am fully involved with HRC (Human Rights Campaign), and GLBT Youth. I am working on a book co-authoring Domestic Violence within the GLBT community.
Definitely a topic worth covering, and one that may hit home with many QC readers. What can they expect from this book?
The book covers the last 20 yrs of the GLBT community and how and why Domestic Violence is on an upsurge. It relays the stories of many couples and victims and even abusers who have been in the middle of a fist. Our community, the GLBT Community, faces enormous stresses that lead to many bad choices and decisions that often end in violence.
Thanks for taking time to write such a book. Now let's take it back a few years in the history of you Doc.Feel. Who is the first guy that you can remember having emotional, romantic feelings for?
My high school buddy, a quarterback. He walked on water... lol. An Italian God among men.
Were your feelings ever reciprocated by him?
Yes, and if you are asking if I ever played his "center" a proper homo never tells... lol!
Again... if you were me, would you let you get away with that?
I was a typical teenager into sports and music and I fell for my best friend who at best was "in like" with me. It was nothing epic and my first true love didn't occur until undergrad. That one was more epic and heart breaking... We learn and grow through heart break. Show me any man who hasn't experienced heartache and I will point and call him a fibber.
When we get through it, it makes us who we are at the present time. And at the present time for you, things seem to be pretty good. Just a few more questions for you, Doc.Feel. What do you do when you're not focused on QC work?
Family time with my guy and boys which generally revolves around their college days now. I spend time with my friends and go to church. Sometimes it is hard to fit it all in...
That last statement could be interpreted the wrong way!
Indeed. Except I'm a top.
LOL! Well Doc... finally the last question... Someone finally gets to ask YOU this question… What makes you click?
Sex in the rain, my lover's warm breath on my ear in the night and music that moves the soul to feel everything it possesses.
What poetic words. Not that I would expect anything less from Doc.Feel… Well, it's been an absolute pleasure to "Queery the Queery-er". I hope you've enjoyed your QC interview as much as I have! Thank you!
I have indeed Matt, you are a wonderful interviewer. Thank you and thanks to all the QC readers who keep coming back. I have to also thank QC, I love my QC family.
And we love you Doc. Feel. Thanks for all you do to make QueerClick a success!
