QC FYI: Pssst... Gaydar's Real

A Tufts University study backs up the existence of gaydar— the intuitive ability to assess another person's sexuality as homo or hetero.
15 undergrad students, male and female, saw 90 photos of men's faces taken from Facebook and internet personal ads. Within 50 milliseconds— one-twentieth of a second— they could accurately determine if the man was were say or straight 55 to 70 percent of the time. The subjects did no better looking for 10 seconds and did significantly worse with only 33 milliseconds.
Researchers conclude that gaydar may be a sort of evolutionary intuition for finding a mate— knowing who you could actually get a date with helps a lot in assessing your mating opportunities. The study's lead author, graduate student Nicholas Rule says he'd like to further explore this idea with another study using women's faces.

Too funny you chose Atlantic Canada with Sackville, New Brunswick - where I grew up - as the center of that picture...
65% of the people correct and I guessed guys better than girls.
I got 85% correct, but I was better at girls. A lot of good that does me.
I got 85% too, and was better at recognising girls, although it was pretty easy, it was mainly the dungarees and face piercings which give it away, not to mention the butch poses on the photos they used. There was one guy in mine who was really cute - they should have an option to meet the people in the quiz if it's a dating site ! ;)
Hum... I scored 85% as well...
"You personally got 17 of the 20 people correct and were better at recognizing girls than guys. Overall, you guessed better than 94% of all test takers."
