The Men Of Torchwood Are Hot For Each Other!
OK, let's get the non-geeks up to speed on Torchwood. It's a spin-off from the 2005 revival of the long-running science fiction programme Doctor Who (starring sexy geek, David Tennant). The series is set in Cardiff and follows the Welsh branch of a covert agency called the Torchwood Institute which investigates extraterrestrial incidents on Earth and scavenges alien technology for its own use.
According to AfterElton.com, in Season Two, Captain Jack (John Barrowman) becomes involved romantically with Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd). The first season of Torchwood was already groundbreaking in simply having an out actor play the bisexual lead in a television series, much less a science-fiction action series. On top of that, the first season featured several male same-sex kisses, and one especially touching scene between two male characters. The fact that the second season has two men pursuing a relationship only cements the status of Torchwood as a revolutionary program that is boldly going where no other science fiction show has dared to go!
At a recent science-fiction convention, John Barrowman (in the grey shirt, leather jacket, messed-up hair) kissed Gareth David-Lloyd (in the black shirt and boxer briefs). It's great to see the real-life chemistry between these two men and pretty hot to see them kiss. At one point, someone asked the panel what their ideal christmas present would be. For some reason everybody seemed to be directing their requests (mostly for porsches) at John, prompting Gareth to hop on his knee. Later, the two men did a funky dance to the Torchwood theme and when someone asked what was their favourite part of their body, recurring actor, Kai Owen, showed his legs by stripping down to his black briefs. Not to be outdone, Gareth joined in, showing his very healthy rump and shapely gams in boxer-briefs.
Bet you're a fan of show now, eh?

God, I want Gareth so badly. While John is a hottie, Gareth is so much more adorable.
Amen Brendan. I've been a fan since season one. I'm a geek sue me, but i'd sell my soul to have one night with Gareth. The man is beyond perfection in my eyes. And seeing his shapely bum n' thighs does nothing to stave off my sinful thoughs.
Gareth is the hottie on this show. John Barrowman is one lucky bastard! I hope season three is as hot as these pics!
While the kiss does look hot, I thought John was happily partnered to Scott Gill...
John IS happily partnered to Scott and Gareth is straight, but when they get together at a convention, they know EXACTLY what their fans want to see. :D

It's simply like when Christopher Meloni, who is happily and heterosexually married, once gave a serious lip lock at a fan convention to the gay lover character of his Beecher character from 'Oz'. It' simply to get people's attention to get involved with and root for the character's onscreen relationship and to watch the show. That being said, I hope that John for his sake cleared what he was planning on doing at the convention with his husband beforehand :)
John Barrowman deserves a lot of credit for "Torchwood"s success, but like most others I find Gareth David-Lloyd the reason I tune into this show each week. The stories are sometimes cheesy, but Gareth's "Ianto" is definitely must see TV. Barrowman not so much in my opinion. It looks like he has had a lot of work done to his face. Kinda waxy looking.
John Barrowman's gay in real life so I'm not surprised. The guy that plays Ianto is ok. The guy that plays Reese however, he's oddly sexy. He looks fat but he's not. ARGH. I want to do him.
Anyway, it's always fun capturing the gay moments in Torchwood. They're usually hot too, which is a first for any TV in my opinion. Like that time Barrowman's character made out with Marster's character? I forgot his first name, James? The guy that played Spike on Buffy? Yeah, they made out. HOT!
I can't wait for this show to come back.
Sorry to disagree but Torchwood is the same as the vast majority of TV series = lots of guns, explosions, over-dramatic storylines (everyone running around, over-excited, talking nonsense blah,blah,blah etc) basically cardboard characters entirely self-obsessed, general violence and never a hint of nudity ! = a great big SNOOZE !
Just substitute "aliens' for medics, police, detectives, lawyers and we have ANOTHER run-of-the-mill, same-old, same-old television filler.
Come on Mr Barrowman - you're always showing colleagues you penis behind the scenes of your theatre & TV work ... why not have the balls to put some good full frontal nudity in Torchwood and lose some of the violent nonsense ?
Less tease & more real erotica would FORCE me to watch - as it is I simply CANNOT be bothered to waste my time.
It's a great drama. It's not meant to be porn. But I'm glad they're blurring the boundaries! And I am SO hot for Rhys (whatever his real name is...)
The relationship between Ianto (Gareth David Lloyd) and Jack (John Barrowman) was more than hinted at in series one. There is a very funny scene where they're alone at the base and wondering what to do to occupy their time. They end up having an undisclosed competition that requires a stop-watch. Also have a look at the interaction between Ianto and Jack after Jack has come back from the dead at the end of the last episode of series one. As for Kai Owen who plays the fiance, now husband, of one of the female characters, he has a very nice butt which is shown off in two episodes of series one. As for other nudity, John Barrowman was all ready to do the full monty in series one (he did a rear nude scene in Dr Who but it was cut) but series creator Russell Davies thought it was better to wait. JB did promise nudity in series two but it never eventuated. Maybe series three (limited to 5 episodes) will be the one. Oh, and in case you didn't know, JB has a fantastic singing voice and has released a number of CDs as well as appearing on Broadway.
