Gay Olympic Gold Diver Becomes Men’s Health Ambassador

Gay, Olympic Gold Diver Becomes Men's Health Ambassador
More good news for our golden boy, Matthew Mitcham! After the Beijing Olympics, his home country commemorated him by putting his adorable mug on a stamp for winning the men’s 10-meter diving competition (lick ’em and stick ’em!). Now, they’re asking him to serve as a Men’s Health Ambassador, to make public appearances and help spread the message of good health throughout Australia and abroad.
If you’ve ever seen Mitcham’s stunning body, you know he’s the perfect specimen of health. He’s a role model for gay and straight athletes alike. He also trains 11 times a week in hopes of making it to the 2012 London Summer Games. Here’s a little more from Pink News:

Health Minister Nicola Roxon paid tribute to Mr Mitcham, saying, “He battled depression and anxiety, and retired from the sport in his teenage years after physical and emotional burnout. In 2007, he returned to diving and at the Beijing Olympics claimed gold.”

Very cool. Matt’s the Ambassador of Kick-Your-Assador. We hope this esteemed position will help him land another sponsorship. Go Matt, Go!
