QCA Film Quickie: Immersion Porn
Porn's hot, but watching other people get off to porn ain't bad either. That's just what video artist Robbie Cooper shows in Immersion - Porn, a video that features different people talking about and watching porn. akawilliam.com brought the video to our attention and helpfully pointed out that the gay guy starts talking about porn at 3:15. The fact that he's a young, Jewish, bearded, hipster journalist has got us interested, but his horn-face is both disturbingly hungry and strangely hot. Just imagine he's looking at you and schwing!
Here's a blurb from Wallpaper, the film's producers:
Robbie Cooper's "Immersion: Porn" builds on his earlier work making video-recordings of gamers playing their favorite games; only this time, it's people talking about their relationship to pornography intercut with amazing, intimate footage of their faces as they watch the porn they enjoy. Cooper's remarkably raw, powerful and intimate videos of people talking about enjoying porn. Be aware that this is not easy titillation. These videos throw up any number of questions about voyeurism and exhibitionism and make clear the incredible nakedness of the solo sex act. But as Woody Allen said: 'Don't knock masturbation. It's sex with someone I love.'

Did these people masturbate in front of the camera? Anyway, I was jumping out of my chair when I saw the last person. I thought, "well that's weird, how come Debby got so old? And where is Napoleon Dynamite?"
That journalist dude made me kinda sad. The fact that he only thinks sexually about people in porn and never about real people is disturbing and depressing.
In response to Tom:
At one point, he briefly clarified his rationale (at about 5:00) that prior to his coming out he didn't think of the people directly in his life in the same way that he lusted over the men in porn. That leads me to believe he wasn't secure with himself as a gay man and saw pornography as his only acceptable alternative to explore his sexual urges. Based on what he said, he may not have come out until after college. That is a long time to repress innate feelings. He may have lived a dual-life so to speak in which the men he watched in porn were the only ones he convinced himself to lust after as it was the safest alternative.
1. These women certainly don't seem to have a problem reaching the "elusive" female orgasm - you go girls!
2. I couldn't help but find the first woman slightly repulsive and kept thinking about how the third woman was stuck in the 80s with that hairstyle. However, I loved the second woman! She seemed very intelligent and comfortable with the subject matter/herself. I loved her description of the amateur porn - especially when she put her hands up to the camera lens as if she was adjusting it.
3. Benjamin Solomon (the gay journalist) was HOT AS HELL! The hungry, o-face look on his face whenever we see him watching porn is such a turn-on for me. His slight flamboyancy and semi-high-pitched voice is really cute - plus his gorgeous, blue eyes are to die for! I can relate to his honest disclosure in many ways; except I didn't have a problem lusting over people in high school and college while simultaneously wishing I was at the center of a team gang bang ;)
