Wednesday Wrasslin’ Round-Up: Arn Anderson

If you like beefy, bearish, daddy types, wrestling heels, and skilled technical wrestlers, Arn Anderson will turn you on. He used to be part of the Minnesota Wrecking Crew and The Four Horsemen and is reknowned for his relentless attacks, really working over an opponent’s weak spot, and taking every opportunity to dish out the punishment with head butts, chokes, eye injury, you name it. To honor this sexy roughian, we feature 4 matches.

1) Arn Anderson vs. Erik Watts: Erik’s one hell of a handsome competitor in his red shorts, but Arn has the upperhand throughout most of the match. Watch how thoroughly Arn works over the Erik’s arm. The match ends with a surprise!

2) Arn Anderson vs. Robert Gibson: Young scrapper Gibson takes on Arn with a quickness. Arn usually plays tough, not cheap and you can tell he’s not sure how to handle Robert at first. Soon, Arn works the fish hook and the eye rake, and elbow drop to his advantage, but has Arn met his match?

3A) Arn Anderson vs. Lord Steven Regal (part 1): Though their contrasting entrances are worthy of note, the action starts (kinda) at 2:50. Steven Regal, like Anderson, is an arrogant, but tough, technically-skilled wrestler. Repeated arm punishment really works for Arn in this half, but a full-nelson ties up both men for a bit. Wish they were naked.

3B) Arn Anderson vs. Lord Steven Regal (part 2): Arn just won’t let up. Things look bad for Steven Regal until he gets a helping hand from Sir William. Regal’s uppercuts, cross-face holds, and . A couple of low blows help Arn, but can he beat Regal before the bell? By the way, Arn shaves his armpits, apparently.

4A) Arn Anderson vs. Tommy Angel (Part 1): With his golden boots, golden locks, and firm ass is a delight to watch, even if Arn is punching him out of the sky and sitting on his Head to grind it into the floor. There’s a good wedgie shot at 1:37 that persist well into the match.

4B) Arn Anderson vs. Tommy Angel (Part 2): In the second half of this match, Arn basically manhandles the mulleted Tommy Angel, choking and twisting and battering him as he wishes. There’s a tasty cheek shot at 1:12 and some more tasty cheek-winking at 2:00. The ending is no surprise, but the flurry of abuse Arn doles out is!
