China has gone crazy over a viral video featuring a couple in a Uniqlo changing room, the now called “Uniqlo Sex Video” was uploaded to social media site Weibo and became a massive hit within hours of being posted after it was heavily shared via private messaging apps. The cute Asian couple, a bespectacled man and his lady indulge in some risky semi-public sex action behind the curtain of a changing room in a Beijing branch of Japanese clothing giant Uniqlo.  It’s no secret how conservative China is when it comes to sex but why did this particular video became such an overnight sensation? Is it because the location? The hotness of the couple? After being identified, the Uniqlo store has become a somewhat destination spot for curious people that want to take a selfie in the place of the scandal and some are even suggesting that the clothing company even orchestrated the sex tape. [Update 07-19-2015]: Chinese police have arrested 5 people involved in the now infamous Uniqlo changing room video and Mashable is reporting that the ongoing investigation is looking into the possibility that the 71-second video was a publicity stunt from the get go as a Uniqlo store announcement can be heard clearly in the background welcoming customers while the man filmed himself having sex with the woman. The horny couple is among those arrested. Uniqlo denied any involvement in the video but if found guilty, the company will face charges from 200,000 to 1 million yuan (around $32,000 to $161,00), and its license could be revoked for “spreading pornography.” Chinese law is very hard and bans the manufacture of obscene material, while cyber rules ban its spread online. The Japanese brand has aso urged shoppers to make proper use of its fitting rooms but people have turned that wording into an euphemism to refer to the now popular make-out spots.
