Explicit Game Rinse and Repeat Banned: Are Gaymers Who Crave Adult Content Being Marginalized?

We have discussed at length the future of gay porn and along with virtual reality one of the things we’re sure is going to make it big are adult oriented video games. If you are a long time QC reader you probably even remember a little experiment we did a while ago (don’t tell anyone but we might have some news to share about QC Games very soon. 😉 So it is surprising, considering that there’s certainly an appetite from audiences for horny games, to learn the hostility that some developers are facing these days. “Rinse and Repeat” a funny and naughty FPS, first-person showering game, got recently banned from Twitch for violating the rules against sexually explicit acts.

“The idea that nudity and sex are allowed on Twitch, only when it’s tangential and exploitative, is a fucking disgrace. It sends conservative messages for what is allowed to be a ‘real game’, and discourages artistic experimentation from developers for fear of being banned.” Game developer Robert Yang.

News about any kind of censorship are always alarming but we are also wondering if these type of games are just a novelty for gaymers or something that consumers are really using to fap to. Is challenging established rules the right way to push the envelope for developers? Are gaymers who crave high quality games featuring nudity and explicit acts being marginalized? QC reader, what do you think on this issues? Join the conversation in the comments!
