[Update] Boxer Yusaf Mack Comes Out As Bisexual And Now Denies He Was Drugged At The Time Of Doing His Porn Movie. Scratch That, In new Interview Yusaf Mack Says He’s Gay!
In an amazing development, professional boxer Yusaf Mack has come out as bisexual! Last week the world got to know about his hidden porn past and the video he made having sex with two other men. He elaborated quite an explanation when confronted with the evidence as he stressed that he was paid for the porn vid but in addition to the money he also received a drug that wiped off his mind from all memory of the events that transpired in the apartment where the shoot took place. Yusaf vehemently denied he was gay and told that his 10 children were proof of his heterosexuality and that the only place where he touched another men was in the boxing ring with his gloves on.
The drug accusation (and the implication of a rape) didn’t went well, to say the least, with porn studio DawgPound and they quickly expressed interest in pursuing legal actions against Mack if he didn’t retract from the “preposterous claims” he made. And it seems that the legal threat was effective as today in a new statement Yusaf Mack backtracked from his made-up story about being drugged in the porn set. In said statement he also made another important declaration, he acknowledged his sexual orientation and identified himself as bisexual. You can argue that he was dragged out from the closet but there’s not denying that the whole mess and ramifications are entirely his creation. We hope he can come to terms with his sexuality as obviously there are some unresolved issues there. [Update 2015-11-06] Yusaf has changed the narrative of his own story again. In a new interview the professional boxer has announced that he is in fact gay! More new details after the jump.
“I’m gay, I’m tired of holding it in, it is what it is, I live my life, I’m gay,” Yusaf Mack.
This is an issued public apology from my heart. I want to address a few situations with the first being the false claims I made about being drugged during the Dog Pound adult film. I have never spoke negatively about the company that produced the film although the claim to have been given a drug by someone during set was a lie. I was completely aware and fully conscious during the film.
The second situation, which further explain the first, concerns my lifestyle. I did participate in the adult film because at the time I needed money but also because I am a bisexual man. Meaning I enjoy safely being intimate with whomever I choose.

There are other men and women that are set up in the similar situations and I just hope I can be inspiration to be just be you. The extreme taboo and harsh criticism of living a same sex lifestyle, especially as an African American male, makes it hard to be completely honest and comfortable within yourself. [Update 2015-11-06] Yusaf has changed the narrative of his own story again. In a new interview the professional boxer has announced that he is in fact gay, not before first explaining that he was surprised when his porn videos became a topic of discussion among people close to him “I didn’t think nobody from Philadelphia would see it.” and added that his porn incursion was done out of necessity. “I was down and out, I asked friends, they wouldn’t help me, so I did what I had to do.” When news about his porn past exploded in the media he was not only caught off guard but he also considered suicide as his eldest daughter told him to kill himself because he “embarrassed” the family. Another repercussion Yusaf faced was the he also had to put an end to a five-year engagement he had with his fiance adding “She was good to me, I was good to her, but it was a lie.” Must have been some pretty horrible days for Mack, specially without the support of his family so we hope that with his (definitive?) coming out he at least find some peace in that regard.
“The truth is out, and I’m sorry. You gon’ like me or love me regardless. I’m still me. So when you see me on the streets, I’m still Yusaf Mack.”
