We May Have Found Our Favourite Japanese Restaurant Yet!

If you are a vegan you might want to reconsider that if you want to visit our new favourite restaurant! Tokyo is full of surprises and one of them is the latest trend in customer service. These bodybuilders at the Macho Nikuya (“nikuya” means “butcher” or “meat shop”) will not only get your order in time but they will also deliver it with a smile a some flexing on the side! The idea isn’t new, it’s sort of like a spin-off of the “Macho Cafe” and it has become so popular that huge lines, of women and men, are seeing forming outside the shops. Their infecting smiles and perfectly developed muscles of the staff are certainly a crowd-pleaser at the yakiniku restaurant (it is worth to note that “muscles” in Japanese is pronounced as “kinniku.” So “ya-kinniku” makes a clever wordplay.) After their media appearances the guys have formed a band under the name “Macho29” composed of 10 members and they have recorded a song called “Viva Macho!” produced by Shinji Tamura, the man behind other famous idol groups like SMAP and SKE48. The members of the band have agreed to a set of rules that are supposed to act as their moral compass 1. No consumption of alcohol, 2. No smoking, 3. No violence, 4. Inhale oxygen, 5. Drink protein, and 6. “Muscle cell destruction” The later is a bit puzzling to us but we’re glad for number four, we really want for these guys to be reminded of keep breathing, must be because they flex a lot! QC reader, will you go on a exclusive meat diet just to eat at this restaurant 24/7? Tell us in the comments!
