QC Open Forum: YouTube Star Calum McSwiggan Admits His Gay Porn Past To His Audience, Says He Regrets Doing Bareback Shows
It wouldn’t be the first time that someone who has done porn feels different about the decisions that led him down that path. They either try to distance themselves or they became advocates against the porn industry. Seems like we’re seeing these type of cases more and more often. And the latest exponent is YouTube star Calum McSwiggan who, after incessant rumors about his past, took a step forward to admit his involvement in pornography. More specifically about doing a series of web cam shows when he was 19 years old. His newfound YT prominence and persona conflicted directly with his past. You’ll see, some of his most popular videos combine topics about health issues, a pro safe sex message and LGBT youth and the porn shows he did featured bareback sex… prominently. In consequence, this last part seems to be what he feels most ashamed of.

Unemployment and an alleged wrongful termination that he attributes to homophobia and bulling in his previous work place are the reasons Calum quotes as what led him to see in Porn the easy way out to get the cash he needed, at that time he was at the university in Derby. He says that his webcam sessions started in an “innocent” way but as the money started to flow things scaled quickly and the sexual acts on camera became more and more daring. Porn companies started to notice his popularity and made him offers to do more professional work but he declined. McSwiggan affirms that he truly believed that his web cam sessions would “evaporate” after he turned off the camera but obviously that was not the case. This disenchantment made him stop and that’s when he started his YouTube channel to build a new life but as his popularity begun to grow, (he received YT awards and started to hang out with celebs) his porn past resurfaced. Now at 25, Calum thinks that even though he was more than 18yo when he was doing porn he didn’t have the “right head on your shoulders” to make the decision.
