Calvin Klein, Keeping It Brief

“In the early 1980s, Calvin Klein began reshaping the way we think about underwear. As it rolled out its sexy, now iconic ad campaigns over the next two decades, our unmentionables transformed from a modest necessity into a must-have accessory—one meant to be shown off and celebrated. Today, Calvin Klein is synonymous with the men’s white brief, which, thanks to the brand’s recently appointed creative director, Raf Simons, is enjoying yet another reinvention.” Out

Here’s A Powerful Montage Of The 35 Competitors For 2017’s Largest LGBTQ Short Film Prize

“The Iris Prize is the largest LGBTQ short film prize in the world. The winner receives £30,000 (approx. $38, 500) to make their next short film in the United Kingdom.

The competition has released a montage of this year’s 35 shortlist contenders. It would be great if they could add captions that list the names of the films as they go by, but you can read about all of them.” Towleroad

The Trailer For “God’s Own Country” — a.k.a., The British “Brokeback Mountain” — Is Here

“Filmed on the Yorkshire moors, the directorial debut of Francis Lee is being hailed as the “British Brokeback” for its striking similarities to Ang Lee’s classic. (There’s even a scene that uses spit as lube.)

But several critics are hailing God’s Own Country as superior to Lee’s Oscar-winning film.

The story revolves around a lonely young sheep farmer (Josh O’Connor) who idles away the days binging on booze and having casual flings… until a Romanian migrant worker played by Alec Secareanu enters his life, making everything sexy, confusing, and really quite dramatic.” Queerty
