I was very depressed for a long time. I would watch the video’s repeatedly, look at everything I had that reminded me of him and “us.” I would often dream about him and then wake up to only realize he wasn’t laying next to me, it had only been a dream and that would instantly make the day difficult to face. I have great family and friends or I wouldn’t have made it through this. I understand depression now and overwhelming grief from loss and it can steal your life. People have two choices, one is to grow, learn and become stronger from it or they lose themselves in torment. After my darkness, I became stronger, blessed to have loved and been loved and a new focus to my life began which is exactly what he would have wanted.
Is that how Sebastian Rivers was born?
All the times he told me I would make a good porn star rang through my head. I needed to change up my life. So I started applying to sites and I initially got one invite to come and audition, I did it, and the site owner didn’t want me. Talk about a serious blow to the ego. I went home head hanging and wondered what was wrong with me. I started hitting the gym and bulking up immediately. RandyBlue contacted me, made me an offer and gave me the name Sebastian. The “Rivers” came into play when I did my first movie stint with Unzipped titled Dirty Jobs produced by Doug Jeffries. They gave me a long list of last names and Rivers was born…HAHA!
What are some fears you have Adam?
Well, as we discussed earlier, I had two major fears as a child. One was fire. I always feared being in a burning house. Once when I was little we had a small stove fire and I froze. I couldn’t move, my dad had to grab me and take me outside. My other fear was this preoccupation I had with the idea that if someone close to me died, I wouldn’t ever be able to handle it. It actually is a strange fear and realization for a small kid, but I always knew my close relationships with family and friends were almost too strong. Like if someone close to me wasn’t happy, then I wasn’t happy. I felt things way too deeply.
So your happiness was dependent upon those around you?
Yes, exactly like I feared that if someone died it would destroy my entire world and I would never recover.
That is a very odd emotional stance for a child. Maybe you were slowly being prepared for dealing with the death of your bf many years later?

Yup HAH it’s true. Not the big spiders, I look at them like small animals, but the little sneaky spiders, those poisonous ones that get you in your homes and you read about people swallowing while they are sleeping. Yes, I confess, it’s true, in the car go figure during an interview a green-creepy spider decides to crawl on me and Doc. had to save me. I was a total wimp. God I hate spiders. HAHA!
You were driving, I wanted to live. I don’t like them either…lol! Ok Adam, after a fabulous adventure in the mountains we had a great steak dinner and saw Superman Returns. Now I am a long-time fan of Superman and yet, coming out of the movie, you reminded me of myself the first time I ever saw Superman as a child. You were completely in awe!

So, what is a typical week like for Adam?
Pretty dull, I get to bed early, go to work, hit the gym, come home do the family thing and that’s it. No superstar status here. On the weekends, when I’m around I hit the clubs with my “boys-the friends.” I love hanging out with my best friend Liz, she is awesome. Typical 23 year old life. Of course I love my Chi Chi, great personality, love her. I sometimes over indulge in my drinking, I’m a Red Bull and vodka guy or my Apple Martini’s. HAHA!

At my age we tend to crave the materialistic things in life, but that is a generational quality.
