MySpace sucks ass!

I've got 2 words for MySpace, and they aren't Happy Birthday...Fuck 'em! Thank god for sites like this.

uh, here's the story on myspace:

if you are a man, you are given the gay option (and not the lesbian option).

if you are a woman, you are given the lesbian option (and not the gay option).

the real issue is that they make you choose "male" or "female," (when some people consider themselves in between those two options, or that neither apply).

another really annoying thing is that myspace prompts you to disclose your relationship status as single, in a relationship, married, divorced, or swinger. you can't just opt to not say anything, you have to chose one of the above. that's annoying.

EDITOR: We just looked at this in our profile and had a few friends verify. We're all set as "Male," but still given no Gay option. We're still just as confused as we were in high school =)

I'm on myspace and my profile reads gay...and a lot of my friends as well. Ya'll must be high.

EDITOR: Did you log in and verify the choices you are given in your profile?

the only myspace i wanna be concerned with is the myspace between some hot guy's ass cheeks.

how could it happen? TOM (the guy who instantly becomes your friend when you sign up) is gay.

I'm still having 'gay' on my sexual orientation but when i go to edit, it says i'm lesbian...

...I suppose the myspace understand if you are male and match lesbian, it will says i'm gay on the profile... probably it's a mistake and will be solved.

Davi, did you even research what the article stated? Nobody said that "gay" was disappearing from profiles themselves, it's missing from the settings page.

I have two myspace pages. One is my real page, the other a decoy. My real profile has my sexual orientation (gay) listed still on my profile. The decoy, I never selected an orientation when I created the account. The option to select gay is missing from the background & lifestyle page when I go under "edit profile" for both accounts.

Either this is simply a glitch, or myspace is turning homophobic. But considering that News Corp does own Myspace, it wouldn't be surprising.

Myspace does suck now becuase the evil Rupert Murdoch owns it.

but this is just an error/glitch. If you are male and click "lesbian" your profile will actually say gay, not "lesbian" when you view it. That's kind of dumb, but yeah- there is still the gay option that way.

This is probably because myspace was bought by Rupert Murdoch from News Corp./Fox News, very Right wing conservative.

I did my profile over(Three days ago) and I was not given the gay option.
I contacted customer service but they take a month.

i think it's 'new thought' - kind of like 'new math' - you already have a profile that you have chosen as GAY - if you now view the options, GAY will not be a choice since you are currently GAY - your choices will be what you didn't choose the first time - so if you choose STRAIGHT or LESBIAN then the next time you view the choices your new choice will not be an option, but GAY will.

that's what i think.

EDITOR: We tried that too. No luck. Obviously MySpace is having technical issues, but we thought it was funny.

If this is the case (I haven't checked yet), it's an HTML error that someone should notify them about so they can fix it, instead of bitching about it here. I can assure you they didn't take the option out on purpose.

weird... my public page says "gay" but when i try to change my info that's not an option and what it says i have selected is "lesbian"!

I have the same as chris, so weird..apparantly according to myspace i'm a male lesbian. Very nice..look at myspace being all sneaky and changing my sexual orientation over night, lol.

The choice might not be "gay" but when u click on lesbian and you are a male of course then your profile would read gay, i personally pick the option No Answer, thats just me!

Well-guys I went in on my account and sure enough "gay" was not an option for me. I was originally "bi" and even did some changing around but "gay" was never offered as an option.

If I remember right, that option was "Gay / Lesbian" in one list option. So a glitch probably has half of it missing.

Why wouldn't they put gay? What's the big deal? Then why did they put bi on there? it doesnt make sense, retards.

myspace is constantly being hacked and i wouldn't be surprised if this were the case in this instance.

myspace is so last 2 years ago...Facebook is so in and instead of this whole sexual-orientation-confusion-on-the-settings-page thing going on, Facebook allows you to choose which gender your atrracted to...plain and simple...no BS.

If you choose "lesbian" it shows up as "gay" if you are male.

It was that way since the glitch first started.

i think thats a fake...because like ever since ive signed up for myspace which was like 2 years ago, i had my orientation set to gay...sooooo i dunno where they got that image from unless they edited it themselves which would be extremely easy to do...
