I hate to be a spoil sport, but I think occasions like this make a very negative statement about the gay commuity and give the opposition plenty of ammo against us. It is hard to be taken seriously and be a viable political force with images like these in public. Sorry, guys, don't want to spoil anyone's fun but there is a time and place for almost eveything and just ist't appropriate behavior in public.

I sometimes feel the same way, but then I remember that not every woman is in a GIRLS GONE WILD video and not every man is a drunk asshole on SPRING BREAK or REAL WORLD. If we feel politically castrated because there are some gays who are nude and inappropriate, that could be buying into right wing shame mongers and their portrayal of gays as "one despicable type."
When gay pride festivities are packed with wonderful talent and fun, but media seeks out the seediest and most flamboyant, that is not a representation of me, but of media sensationalism.
