Nikolay Petrov: Porn Star And Hitman For Hire

You may remember the handsome, hung hitman Nikolay Petrov (or as the federal judge calls him, Edmon Vardanyan) arrested for attempted murder last February for attacking an elderly couple. Well, Yesterday Mr. Vardanyan pleaded guilty and will likely face prison time.

A quick recap: In April 2006, Vardanyan was arrested for jumping out of a van and attacking 64-year-old Galina Komissarchuk near her Brooklyn home. The NYPD caught Vardanyan for the attack, but they let him go. Not content to just terrorize the old lady, the then 23-year-old traveled across state lines in September of 2006 to attack her and her 69-year-old husband near their Sarasota, Florida home with a hammer:

"On Dec. 6, 2006, the Komissarchuks were returning to their Sarasota home from dinner with the [son-in-law] when an assailant with a hammer ducked under their closing garage door. He attacked Galina Komissarchuk, and as her husband [Grigori] attempted to shield her, the attacker beat them both... Grigori Komissarchuk suffered a skull fracture, cuts on his head and bruises on his arms. Galina Komissarchuk suffered two cuts on her head and bruises on her arms and face."

To better understand Vardanyan's financial motive, we turn to The Sword who says, "Nickolay's fee for the attack? $2,000. For some perspective, consider that Nickolay would receive about $1,500 per sex scene as a Jet Set exclusive." Why oh why didn't he pull out his love hammer and use his aggression to pound in the ass of a 20-something power bottom instead of some felonious foursome with an old couple and their son-in-law? He would have gotten paid about the same amount without having to drive to Florida and become a convicted federal criminal.
