This weekend there was a Turkish oil wrestling event in the western German city of Kassel and if you've missed Rugger Bugger's posts on the very hot sport (here and here), the pics above are enough to give newcomers an appreciation for the sport. The athletes slick each other up with olive oil before each fight and according to the Ikigaiway martial arts blog, "The sun is hot and the fights are long... there are few forbidden holds, and grabbing of trunks is not off limits." Even though we're on a summer diet, we'd make an exception for some beef slathered in oil.
Thanks to The Calgary Herald for the pics! And if you're feeling randy, try searching "Turkish oil wrestling" in Google Images or YouTube for more slippery sporting!
We know you've been salivating over the new Dunedin nude rugby pictures. Ruggerbugger knows that this is an annual occurrence and that Kiwi athletes particularly like stripping for a good rough and tumble on the pitch. Have a look at some of these stunning images from the past featuring the hardest, meanest, manliest men in the world buck naked, tackling each other and forced through cruel public nude initiations. Check out Ruggerbugger's enormous catalog for many more pictures and videos like this.
Here's some summertime sports sexiness to start off your week. No, it's not the latest Ruggerbugger post. It's nude students playing rugby in Dunedin as the traditional test season opening game. There are some big and beautiful bodies scrambling for that ball—man, we'd love to be nose deep in that ruck. We're wondering which lucky bastids who got to play as hookers in that scrum.
The nude rugby international, which started as a celebration of New Zealand's national nude day, was held yesterday as a warm-up - although temperatures were reportedly cold enough to prove embarrassing - to the forthcoming match between the All Blacks and France.
Needless to say, there were plenty of tackles flying about with only one interruption ... when a fully-clothed streaker ran on to the pitch.
ESPN has finally shown their Outside the Lines featuring the Fratmen wrestlers and it doesn't make our boys or their coaches look so great. The episode mostly discusses what we mentioned earlier this week: Paul Donahoe's had some legal problems and maybe a bad attitude as Nebraska's star wrestler. Of course that, and his comfort with the gays, only increases his bad boy appeal: "I don't care what you say, coach. I'm gonna masturbate on that website and not you, the team, or nobody's gonna stop me!" Then, when his best friend tries to stop him, he takes him down to the mat, using the fireman's carry, pops a boner, and they fall in love. None of this actually happens in the episode of course, but if it did, we'd endorse it a lot more.
Actually, Outsports provided a good run-down of the episode. Here's the highlights not covered in our previous post:
ESPN's focus was on whether Nebraska used a double standard for booting the two wrestlers, when compared to how other athletes at the school have been treated. At one point, Nebraska Athletic Director (and former football coach) Tom Osborne said that had Donahoe and Jordan not had past infractions, their porn appearances might not have led to their dismissal...
Jordan fared worse. Nebraska would not allow him to transfer to a Division I school, without sitting out a year of wrestling. He chose to attend Purdue in the Big Ten, which is Division I, and hopes to make the school's team next season. Jordan was the only person on the show who came across sympathetically. He says he regrets having posed for Fratmen, not because he did anything wrong but because his life was thrown in turmoil because of it.
Neither Nebraska, its wrestling program, Donahoe nor Jordan came across with their reputations intact. The only clear winner was Fratmen. They got tons of publicity any business would kill for, worth far more than the $4,000 they shelled out for the services of Nash and Cal.
Also, we're still not sure if Donahoe ever return to Fratmen like he said he would. You know these bad boys... so unpredicatable. But we can dream, can't we?
Earlier this week, we reported that theFratmen wrestlersexpelled from Nebraska will appear on ESPN's "Outside the Lines". ESPN just released several new clips of the Paul Donahoe and Kenny Jordan interview along with Jordan's wrestling clip of his championship bout and an an extended article about their travails. The article, reveals several tasty bits including the shot that got Donahoe in trouble.
Poor guy's gonna have the name of the school that expelled him on his thigh for the rest of his life. Maybe he can jerk off a few more times to save up for its removal.
The article also states that Fratmen.tv contacted them through their Facebook and MySpace pages, and that Donohoe claims to have paid back $3,500 for his reinstatement his NCAA eligibility. Nebraska's coach also paints Donahoe as a talented but cocky wrestler who repeatedly put himself above his team by showing up late to practices, not attending study halls, drinking and getting in trouble, and never participating in team community events off the mat:
Donahoe also had two notable fights with his now former girlfriend, one resulting in multiple 911 calls from her cell phone. Donahoe and the ex-girlfriend present conflicting accounts about what happened, and no criminal charges were filed. But in at least one case, the relationship caused another problem for the coaching staff: The girlfriend placed frantic calls to two of the coaches -- around 4:30 a.m., according to one coach's recollection -- asking for help in getting Donahoe out of her apartment.
Lincoln police records show Donahoe was arrested on April 13, 2008, for hosting a loud house party and becoming confrontational with police officers. In a separate incident on March 28, 2008, officers cited him for having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
Jordan's rap sheet in Lincoln is longer and includes two misdemeanor assault convictions.
However, 14 of Nebraska's 44 wrestlers have faced criminal charges in the last two years including "misdemeanors such as maintaining a disorderly house, marijuana possession, underage drinking, stealing, third-degree assault, littering and five citations for driving under the influence, [and aggravated battery] according to Nebraska court records." None have been expelled. Donahoe contends that the university's held him to a double standard since the website's gay and the pics can never be permanently removed from the web. He also contends that the school has multiple NCAA infractions that if made public would get Nebraska into a lot of trouble. But he's since gone mum on those preferring to move on.
