How has STR8cam.com changed over the years?
My cam site has drastically changed over the years. When I first started out, I didn’t even get naked on cam… LOL!
It was more of an online journal type of cam site. One where I talked about my day, flexed and chatted with my fans and said, see ya next time. Now STR8cam.com is much more advanced and my live cam show uses a HD camera with sound. Sounds so simple and “common” but you have to remember back in the day when I started camming, there wasn’t streaming and there certainly wasn’t any sound.
13 years ago cam sites consisted of a picture that refreshed every minute. It’s purely amazing how much my site and technology in general has changed over the years. Next thing you know, I’ll be streaming live from my cell phone…
When you started the webcam, did you ever imagine it would become what it has?
NEVER!! haha. When I started my webcam, I started it for fun. Something to do on my down time. My intention was fire up the cam, flex online, chat with friends and meet new people & have fun. I never imagined that STR8cam would take on it’s own brand and it’s own identity. It’s great getting to know my fans and chatting with my members. I also now talk with everyone on Twitter via @str8cam.
How has Internet exhibitionism and porn changed in the last couple years?
It’s far more accessible. With sites like GuysWithiPhones, Twitter & xTube, nowadays anyone who is an adult can pretty much instantly create “porn”. Especially solo stuff like I do. Internet exhibitionism is also much easier now than it was years ago. Especially with smartphones and phones with cameras. Drop your drawers, snap a pic, and bam! You got porn.
Do you feel like you have friendships with the guys who watch you and are fans?
Yes. For sure, especially after talking with some of them for years. I have a few members of my site who have been with me for 10 years. I been doing cam shows for 13 years now. Over the years i have gotten to know many people who I have great friendships with. Not just on my cam site, but also via Twitter. Twitter has been great for really getting to know my fans and connecting with my friends.
Do you feel like you play a character (STR8Cam Jeff) or is what we see the real you?
I’m the real deal. I don’t play a character. I just be me and have fun with it. I even use my real name (Jeff)..haha!
What would fans be surprised to learn about you?
My fans would be surprised to learn that I’m actually a bit shy in person. Not crazy-shy, but a bit shy. Online, I can let loose more and “let it flow” but in person, I’m a bit more reserved, I get embarrassed easily and I don’t like being the center of attention. I’m not really an all eyes on me kind of guy. My shows are different though because I’m in charge, I direct the action and it doesn’t feel like I’m the center of attention but more like I’m one in the group chat because I interact with everyone. I don’t just take direction while never saying anything. I’m chatting it up with my members, stroke by stroke.
Do people question whether you’re really straight?
Not in real life, but online they question it all the time. I’m guessing because most of my members are gay so people assume I’m gay. My Twitter feed also shows a lot of guys using and showing of SPUNK Lube so I get asked, why I post so many pics of nude guys on my Twitter…lol.
It’s because they are showing off my personal lubricant and they are great guys. Most of them I’m online friends with. I try to recognize and appreciate everyone who is using my SPUNK Lube, so I often tweet or RT pics of nude guys.
How does your wife like your business?
My wife doesn’t mind my cam business. The main reason she is fine with it is because I jerk off from home. I don’t go to adult studios to do my shoots and I don’t meet with people I chat with online. She’s cool with my cam business because it’s all done online.
Do you consider sexuality a definite thing or do you feel like we all live with varying degrees of homosexuality or heterosexuality?
I feel like we all probably live with varying degrees of sexuality. Some people are str8, gay or bisexual and then there are other people who are somewhere in between. There really aren’t too many things definitive in life except for death and taxes. Damn taxes! LOL.
Is performing and jerking off on camera hard on your own personal relationships and psyche?
Not at all. Jerking off on camera keeps me in shape… lol. My personal relationship is with my wife of almost 5 years. We been together for almost 10 years. Performing and jerking off on camera would be hard on my relationship if I did it daily or if it took up a large portion of my time but it doesn’t. It’s all good here. 🙂
What are the good things about performing and being an exhibitionist?

Only a few times. A few years ago, my wife and I were in Vegas and someone recognized me. Many years before that I was at Frys Electronics in Burbank and that’s when I was spotted for the first time. Overall though, it’s a huge ass world with many of my members from all over the world, not just in California, where I live.
What’s your daily life like? What’s your routine?
Now that I created SPUNK Lube at http://spunklube.com, my daily life also consists of phone calls to stores, making samples, shipping orders, getting up early, answering emails, working out, fucking, sleeping, playing with Boris, etc. my routine varies from day to day but for the most part, while SPUNK Lube is still new and not really known that well, I have been putting more and more time into promoting it and trying to get it out there more.
How did the idea for SPUNK Lube come about?
Most people don’t know but SPUNK Lube is now available in 3 varieties. Originally though, the idea for SPUNK Lube Hybrid came about because I could never find the perfect lube. For my cam shows, I need a personal lubricant that lasted long, felt great, didn’t get sticky and cleaned up easily. Basically the idea for SPUNK Lube came about because I wasn’t happy with the non-perfect lube on the market so I decided to blend water based lube with silicone based lube and SPUNK Lube was then born.

I originally called it STR8cam Lube but gay stores didn’t like the name and straight stores didn’t like seeing my bulge on the bottle so I created SPUNK Lube and now it’s a hit. With the brand SPUNK Lube, I was about to also release SPUNK Lube Pure Silicone and SPUNK Lube PINK.
What are your hopes for SPUNK Lube?
My hopes and dreams are to take SPUNK Lube to the next level. To make it a household name that people know, trust and respect.
I’d like to release flavors of SPUNK Lube to include natural (SPUNK) flavored as well as watermelon, mango, passion fruit, etc. I want to eventually have a full line up of SPUNK Lube at http://spunklube.com to include tingling, desensitizing, cooling and more.
