The higher the bun… We have observed this trend from afar for a while now but we can affirm that with the end of the summer we have probably reached a point of no return of hot dudes crowing their heads with the singular hairdo. Like many things under the sun it is not exactly new, men with long hair have sported this look for centuries, from the practical aspect when doing sports or at the gym to the function as fashion statement, that of course many dudes had to take it to ridiculous levels you can’t help to see it everywhere once you star to notice. Like the funny IG account Man Buns Of Disneland that collects hot men and their man buns at the famed theme park you can tell that this is getting out of hand.

What is a man bun? This question is harder to answer than you might think. That’s because the man bun is a surprisingly versatile hairstyle that incorporates many different elements.

Perhaps the current king of man buns is Brock O’Hurn, someone who can make the Lion King green with envy, such is the power of his luscious and perfect mane that he, and his fans, seem obsessed about. One dark side of the man buns trend is that it could potentially cause “traction alopecia“. According to some dermatologist the condition causes acute baldness around the forehead and temples as a direct result of hairstyles that pull the hair over long periods of time with irreversible long-term consequences. So if you like to keep your hair in a bun remember to keep it loose. The other dark side of hair buns is that inspires terribly bad songs but we guess we shouldn’t worry about it.
