We interrupt your day with this QC Male Model Moment. Ryan D. with Major Model Management is certainly a worthy distraction! Ryan just oozes sex appeal from the boy you wish lived next door to the something just a might on the edge. Ryan has been photographed by all the major American photographers, Richard Phibbs, Tony Duran, Bruce Weber, and Canadian expat Walter Chin to name a few.
As you can see Ryan is the essential Abercrombie guy, having appeared in the company’s catalog and ad campaign several times over. Ryan also has a bod that just won’t quit, and is in high demand for that as well. We now return you to our regular scheduled QC programming.
Give it me Italian style! We thank the fashion God’s for the house of Versace, because no one, and we mean no one in Milan gives you sex, drugs and fuckin’ rock’n’roll like the Versace brand. Donatella Versace recently declared that she’d been drawing inspiration from the menswear her brother Gianni designed in the early ’90s, when the house managed to marry exquisite technique to exuberant vulgarity. There were certainly elements of that union in her collection for spring 2006, particularly in the revival of the rococo silk shirts that were a Gianni signature. Their pastel tones (pistachio, pink, blue, lilac) suggested the sun-bleached Art Deco palaces of the late designer’s beloved South Beach, an association that was compounded by jackets with sleeves pushed up in the manner favored by Don Johnson as Miami Vice’s Sonny Crockett.
Those jackets—and their accompanying trousers—were the tailored crux of the collection, so much so that Donatella’s focus on them bordered on the repetitive. But there’s no denying the potency of the Versace vision of male glamour( in other words the best of the best of the eyecandy boys). In their nipped-waist monochrome suits and spectator shoes, with skin bronzed and hair oiled, the models were the very embodiment of celluloid fantasy —and for good measure, they were accompanied down the catwalk by a vixen or two. “It’s always about sex,” Donatella hissed after the show. But at the house of Versace, it’s also always about celebrity: Usher and Brooke Shields made a typically incongruous front-row pair.
Channing Tatum, born Channing Bryan Isaac Tatum Anderson, on 20 April 1980 in Cullman, Alabama, is an actor and model. Channing Tatum, an image that represents the new generation of hip and urban sensation is taking over America by surprise. A face with well defined jaw-line, a clean shaven head, and a race car dive that is full of energy and edginess in the Mountain Dew commercial 2002 give Channing all the attention that he can handle.
Channing is a southern boy born in Alabama. He was oldest of eight children in an affluent family in Alabama that moved to South Dakota. He was shipped off to a boarding school in 9th grade. At the age of six, his family moved to Mississippi where he had many fun memories of his childhood. Channing still spends his summer time with his grandparents back in Alabama to constantly remind himself of his roots. Due to Channing’s tough and sometimes troublesome boyish nature, his parents sent him to a military school in grade nine.
Channing’s love for football and his athleticism eventually won him an athletic scholarship to play college football in West Virginia. His college football career didn’t turn out to be promising, which ended with Channing dropping out of school. Thereafter, Channing had worked for a pet nursery, in construction, as a mortgage broker, and at the cologne counter and clothing store. Channing’s first experience with the entertainment industry came when he was cast in Ricky Martin’s video “She Bangs”. He plays a kid with the platinum Mohawk.
While he was still getting over his platinum hair, a model friend in Miami introduced him to some local agencies, where he moved to and started his modeling career. Channing’s initial reaction to modeling was not so optimistic. Instead, his aspiration was to be an actor. After a period of struggles, Channing’s pictures were sent to Jason Kanner, a New York City modeling agent at Major Models. Jason persuaded Channing to move to New York to advance his career in the print world. Channing has since been seen on the pages of Vogue Magazine, the cover of Out magazine, Citizen K, Contents, Elegance Magazine, and NY Times Fashion’s insert, and he was one of the Tear Sheet Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful faces (October 2001).
Channing has worked extensively in Paris, Milan and New York in various campaigns such as Nautica, Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle and Emporio Armani. Channing can be seen in television commercials as well, such as Pepsi (“Scratching”), American Eagle, and of course Mountain Dew (“Drive”).
Besides all the obvious that Channing has to offer, his personality and financial independence are well praised by the people he has worked with.
“Channing Tatum was a pleasure from day one,” are the strong words from the president of Paige Parks modeling agency.
His versatility and the ability to be self-dependent give his agencies the freedom and power to manage his career at even higher level.
Tatum stands 6′ 1-1/2″ tall, and is a true Tauran — “kind of animalistic,” as he later confides. Part native American, part Irish and part French, he has all the pride, charm and passion that ancestry implies. What’s clear is that he’s going places, fast. But it all began where he was born, in a tiny little town just outside of Montgomery, Alabama, called Culman.
Tatum has branched out into a professional acting career, first appearing in a 2004 episode of CSI: Miami. His first feature film role was in 2005’s high-school drama, Coach Carter, playing Jason Lyle, a basketball player opposite Samuel L. Jackson; Tatum also appeared in Twista’s “Hope” music video, which accompanied the film. In the same year, Tatum had an uncredited bit role in War of the Worlds, as well as supporting parts in the films Supercross and Havoc. Although Tatum has said that he “loves modeling”, he has taken a break from the profession to concentrate on his acting career, saying that he prefers making movies.
Tatum unsuccessfully auditioned for a role in X-Men: The Last Stand. The film’s producer, Lauren Shuler Donner, noticed Tatum and cast him in the film She’s the Man, where he plays the love interest of a character played by Amanda Bynes. The film opened on March 17, 2006.
Tatum’s next role will be in director Kimberly Peirce’s Stop-Loss, about a soldier returning home from the Iraq War.
Dean and Dan Caten may well be the gayest of the gay fashion designers working in Milan right now, these former badboy club kids own one of the the hottest! fashion labels going Dsquared. Their latest show dressed a posse of bunkhouse boys in the twins’ trademark low-slung denims and second-skin shirts. The heavy-on-the-cojones swagger needed to master all those dropped crotches did indeed suggest that Dsquared’s rough riders had just dismounted after days in the saddle. One cowboy felt compelled to strip for a sponge bath. And that wasn’t the only hint of Deadwood. A leather apron looked ideal for the town blacksmith. A pristine white suit was tailor-made for the local preacher. And the toothpick-chewin’ models had an ornery nonchalance that suggested that the Catens could probably elicit a convincing performance from a piece of…well, dead wood. The Western theme was carried through in tiny waistcoats (one was merely a denim bib, another carried Indian embroidery on washed suede), a floral poplin shirt, waxed leathers and, of course, cowboy hats and boots. And though the evening looks—shantung trousers and bugle-beaded shirts—seemed to break with the frontier spirit, their all-blackness had a villainous glamour that would have worked a wonder for Lee Van Cleef, the original man in black.
Multi-talented and beautiful is Jamie Dornan. His handsome face and chiseled body have been spotted on the billboards of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger ads worldwide. This 23, Irish born, 6ft’, brown hair, blue-eyed stunner is making his rounds as a successful model and aspiring actor and musician.
Jamie’s international profile soared once the media revealed he was dating British actress Keira Knightley. As of now, he’s being linked to Sienna Miller. Is that a collective sigh of disappointed we’re hearing all of the sudden? Aw shucks! Well, you can always see him in his first feature film that is still in production, Marie-Antoinette, starring alongside Kirsten Dunst. He’s also in a band named “Sons of Jim”. Model, singer, actor, could he get any hotter? Damn, some guys have it all!
Some of Jamie’s other modeling campaigns include Armani Exchange, Asprey Limehouse and John Richmond. He’s also been featured in GQ Magazine.
