Shouldn't we ask someone who actually plays soccer/football, either professionally or for a team who actually has all the gear--will they tell us they all wear C-U-Ps?

As a regular football player amatuer and Sunday league (soccer to you guys in US!) I dont wear a jock-strap or CUP either, neither do any of the guys in my team. Most of the guys do wear "support" or "sport" briefs which is basically like normal briefs but with reinforced elastic thats fairly tight, to stop everything from jiggling around there! Wearing a CUP would be painful when you run around the field probably OK for sports where you only stand around or have to run in short bursts for a short time. 90 mins of running around with a CUP would be very painful!
