A Boy With Two Fathers
This goes out to all gay parents. I'm sure Bas and Diederick will be touched by this song. Sweet! =)

Sweet and cute song. Thanks QC and the contributor.
SO SWEET!!!
I wonder what language - is that Danish or Finnish or something?
That's pretty heart-warming, but apparently neither Bas nor Diedrick passed on any good lyric-writing traits.
that's sweet ^_^
very sweet and touching. there should be a version in all other languages.
ur welcome, QC
:))
it is dutch
This is from the neatherlands, but how is called ther language? Neatherlandish? o.O"
@nychot: He's singing in Dutch.
OMG that was sooooo gay.
@nychot
It's Dutch!
:)
Funny detail: the woman who introduces him is a lesbian.
the language is dutch
it's dutch,..the translation is a bit weird though but it's cute
That's not Danish or Finnish, that is Dutch. Figures something as liberal as a child choir singing about gay parents would come from the Netherlands :)
I found it very touching to hear.
@nychot: It's Dutch and to be more precise it's the kind of Dutch they speak in The Netherlands.
Hmmm... I dunno whether to smile or be slightly creeped out by it all.
I'm creeped out because the lyrics really sucked, or maybe it's just the translation. Hopefully it doesn't come across as corny in that language.
I'm smiling because it just seems so surreal how far we (ok, well, some more than others) have come in this World that it's now OK for kids to sing about having 2 dads on TV, and sing about it in some kinda matter-of-fact kinda way.
Yes, it's not a big deal, and it never shoulda been a big deal in the first place. Now only if Canada and USA can follow suit, lol.
great song!!! I touched
Awesome! I started tearing up when he sang about the bullies at school. The lyrics are great as far as I'm concerned because they are HIS; not some professional hack trying to pull the heartstrings of the listeners. Also, I don't agree with the comment about making this available in all languages. This is a song about his feelings. Another person in another counry qould have to supply his or her own lyrics. It would be great if the same melody, and possibly the refrain, were used in all cases.
Thank you for making my day!
is this for real? awesome!
That's hilarious!
One of the most mawkish things I've ever seen.
Worth sitting through just to hear the last line:
'Who if they wanted to, both could be my Mother.'
Do you think there's a fight about who's going to be Mum in their house on a regular basis?
'Please, let me be the lady tonight, please?'
For Dutch speakers the lyrics of the song are not at all mawkish or corny. Funny about Dutch, for such a pig-ugly language, they can write some beautiful songs. You can say things in Dutch that are very difficult to translate into English, giving the true feeling of what you are saying. I can speak English and I can speak Dutch, but I can't translate very well between the languages, it's too complicated!
