QCA Film Quickie: Robert Pattison Gets His Gay On In Little Ashes
Last December, we posted a preview of Little Ashes, a film about Garcia Lorca and Salvador Dali's brief homosexual pairing around the Spanish Civil War. We regret sorrow over its seeming melodrama. But today we found juicier clips of Twilight vamp, Robert Pattinson, sucking face instead of necks. They're tender, cinematic, and still quite hot. And as a bonus, we have another film clip of Pattison kissing his male co-star in a moonlit swimming scene... very nice!
Why couldn't Pattison have kissed Daniel Radcliff in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? We would've raised our wands for that one...

Saw a preview. The Good: Whomever did the scenic and art direction is brilliant, the film looks gorgeous. But the wardrobe always looks new, like this scene is the first time it's been worn. Pattison is surrounded by gorgeous Hispanic actors with genuine accents. Pattison just doesn't fit in with his fisbelly complexion and blue eyes. The fright wig they give him for the first part of the film is a travesty. This is a challenging role and I'm afraid Pattison was in over his head.
I've also read a couple of interviews where he resorts to the "icky" description of gay kissing and sex. Couldn't his handlers have helped him exude a sophisticated attitude toward his role?
Hopefully he'll work on his craft. I think it was wise of him NOT to follow up a teen hearththrob movie with the same type, lest he be cast in that mold and unable to grow.
Robert Pattison...ugh...I've seen better...
Have to give props to him not going the Zac Efron route.
