QCA Music Quickie: Colton Ford Covers "Losing My Religion"
As if the original video of R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion" wasn't gay enough, porn star-turned singer Colton Ford has covered and camped it up by adding a techno beat, fishnet bodysuit, and gallery of angsty gay faces. It's one of 18 covers off of his 2nd album, Under the Covers, which also includes covers of Britney Spears, Robyn, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Sade, Faith No More, and Nirvana songs.
Ford said, "When you are covering a hit track, if you can retain the integrity of the original and bring your own style to it in the process, you can reveal something to the listener about you as an artist that perhaps they haven't heard before. This album is also a friendly reminder of just how great these songs were and still are." He accepts that some fans, like us, won't ever be able to see past his porn star past, and that's OK with him. But no matter how you feel about his music, we've got some tasty pics of the porn star that everyone can appreciate after the jump!

With his deliciously thick dick, hairy Grecian bod, handsome face and handlebar mustache, it's easy to see what made Colton Ford famous. He also had a scene as a naughty delivery man in the recent camp film, Another Gay Sequel and played Sheriff Trout, Ford in all three seasons of here! TV's on-going campy gay vampire show, "The Lair." He could put all of us under bitch arrest anytime.
Thanks to Unzipped and Men Machine for the pics.

Good for him. I think it's great that he's realistic about how many of us came to know him. Not a bad voice....the body is sick...the fishnet is unfortunate...
VOice just plain sucks. The beat is ok. The man is hot no matter what but as a singer it's just bad.
I liked him better when he just did porn. This singing career is plain cheesy.
Dude, your 50 and if it hasn't happened by now then it will never will. The porn doesn't help your marketability either.
I think it was funny that on david moretti's vblog Colton was saying he approached Michael Imperioli like Michael knew who the hell Colton was. His reaction on the blog was priceless.
He's not all that bad with techno beats. I mean, since when are there good singers needed for techno to be good and danceable...as for the fishnet...I rather like it.
I have to give him uber kudos for his acting on The Lair though. The first season, he was such a cookie-cutter character and didn't bring much to the show, but in the second season (and what little I've seen of the third) he is a much more complex character, and his acting improved greatly.
