There may be trouble over at COLT Studios because of a lawsuit filed by COLT founder Jim French against COLT’s current owners for “failure to pay the bulk of a $2.2 million promissory note related to the 2003 sale of the company.”
Jim French Studios Inc. filed the lawsuit in San Francisco Superior Court on April 13 against Prowest Media Corp. for breach of contract, naming as defendants current Prowest Media President John Rutherford, Chief Financial Officer Thomas R. Settle, among others… The suit alleges a failure to repay $1.24 million outstanding on a $2.2 million promissory note issued on May 1, 2003, upon the sale of the company by Jim French Studios to Prowest.
Prowest Media president, John Rutherford responded to the lawsuit with this: “As the old saying goes, ‘There are two sides to every story.’ We regret that Mr. French has chosen to pursue his differences legally where only lawyers will prosper. Please know that after nearly 20 years in this business learning from the best, we have every intention of working our differences out.”
When RuPaul made a montage video of fierce drag queens throughout history for her Drag Race, she overlooked one notable porn queen—Chi Chi LaRue! Apparently RuPaul called LaRue to apologize for the oversight and even promised to include LaRue in her music video, Don’t Be Jealous of My Boogie which you can see for yourself above. Hot on the heels of Colin Farrell’s sexcapade on video, here comes a preview of what was rumoured to be a 45-minute featurette of Kid Rock and Scott Stapp partying and receiving oral sex from several of their groupies while touring nearly six years ago.
“We obtained the tape from a third party,” Red Light District president David Joseph told AVN.com. “We haven’t decided exactly when we’re releasing it, but our goal is to release it towards the middle or end of this year.”
Red Light District is the same company that distributed Paris Hilton’s infamous sex tape “One Night in Paris”.
Representatives for Kid Rock and Stapp could not be reached. Stapp wed former Miss New York Jaclyn Nesheiwat, 25, on February 10 in Miami. He was arrested for public drunkeness the following day at LAX airport while enroute to his honeymoon in Hawaii. Stapp was treated for substance abuse in December 2004.

There were rumours back in July floating round about an apparent 14-minute sex tape involving A-list actor Colin Farrell and former Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain. Apparent no more.
A baldy Colin probably means the video was made during his “DareDevil” days.
DirtyColin.com appears to be totally down right now. Earlier, the site did load (we took up a membership in hope to bring you more screen grabs) but it was crawling at an excruciatingly slow speed, most probably due to the explosion of traffic. We didn’t manage to download the video as it kept timing out.
We’ll keep everyone posted soon as we lay our hands on the vid.

“A Web site attempting to distribute an unauthorized tape of Colin Farrell was shut down today. Mr. Farrell will take legal action against anyone who tries to distribute this tape,” said a statement issued by Farrell publicist Danica Smith.” More in comments section and The Mercury News. Although Hollywood bad boy Colin Farrell has been working to stop its distribution for nearly six months, a sex video featuring himself and former Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain is likely closer to distribution this week.
Farrell filed a complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court in July to restrain Narain from releasing the video, which allegedly features the well-endowed actor in a consensually produced sex film with the buxom Narain.
Since the complaint, attorneys for Narain and online porn peddler Internet Commerce Group have been seeking distribution rights for the film, looking to make the case an issue of federal copyright, not privacy.
They succeeded this week in moving the case to federal court on copyright grounds.
“We believe that Ms. Narain is entitled to exercise her copyright per federal statutes, and we hope that the court will clear the way for the tape to be released soon,” Sal Abbate, CEO of ICG, said in an official statement Monday.
ICG wants to distribute the tape through its HollywoodSexTapes.com website.
Narain is clearly hoping the video goes public, too, having recently appeared on Rita Cosby’s “Life & Direct” show on MSNBC, where she spent a good deal of her time arguing entitlement to the money-making potential of the Farrell sex tape.
“And I want Colin to get his fair share, too,” she stressed during the Nov. 22 interview.
If Narain and ICG succeed in federal court, the Farrell tape could be on shelves just in time for Christmas!
