Nazareno Casero is a very well-known face in Argentina. He started acting at a very young age doing unplanned cameos in his fathers comedy show, but when he turned 10 he became a professional cinema actor doing dramatic roles. We have been following the production of this intriguing James Franco pet project for a while and now the first clip of the movie has arrived! The movie, which QC readers will probably remember is a fictionalized recount of real-life horrific events and is about to get its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. The clip, albeit brief, is somehow packed with cryptic information, we don’t know if casual viewers will get much of what’s being said but for those who followed the case (the brutal assassination of Bryan Kocis, owner of porn studio Cobra Video, by porn stars Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes) the situation portrayed will ring many bells.
In a voice over, former Disney actor Garrett Clayton, who plays Brent Corrigan in the movie, tells his mother over the phone about the “film internship” he’s been doing and his plans to continue in that work position during the summer remarking that he’s gotten the chance to be at the editing room for the first time. In real life this scene must be taken from the days in 2004 when Brent Corrigan, was under-aged at the time moved in with Kocis at Midland Drive. Corrigan described those days in a Rolling Stone article with these words “He used me to attract these boys. There was always alcohol in the house. That summer I spent with him, I drank more than I ever have in my life.” The movie clip is intercut with images of Christian Slater (who plays Kocis) and other scenes with Garrett/Brent taking a steamy shower in a dark bathroom. (Note aside, who has a better butt, Garrett Clayton or Brent Corrigan?)
We are looking forward to seeing the full movie but since it’s an indie project the marketing has been a bit lackluster considering it has James Franco attached. A crisis negotiation team managed to put him in custody after storming the house, newscasters filmed the moment of the arrest that took several offices to contain Silva despite that he had trouble walking because his pants were down. He now faces charges of abduction and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. In an NBC news interview Bryan said just a few words “It’s a big mix-up, big confusion. Free me. Another porn star faces a complicated time in his life. Some serious charges, including murder, were the cause of Mario Romo‘s arrest. They arrived separately, one in a car and the other (Romo) on his motorbike and later the same day they left the hotel on separate occasions but the millionaire never returned. Allegedly, a phone call made that night convinced investigators that Romo and his victim arranged a meeting near the place where the body was found. His female partner, who was pregnant at the time, was seen in the vicinity driving an SUV with no license plates. Court documents show that at first the couple planned to rob the millionaire but they got cold feet. Mario Romo later returned to the hotel and he insist he was there to pick up personal items from the room but a $15,000 Rolex watch, an iPhone, an iPad and a laptop from the victim went missing. Seems like news about the Cobra King movie keep coming. Yesterday we wondered if Disney star Garrett Clayton was the right actor to play Brent Corrigan (more on that later) and today we have confirmation, via James Franco’s Instagram, on who is going to play convicted murder and former porn star Harlow Cuadra. It’s none other that Pretty Little Liars actor Keegan Allen, who is already in character as he has lost his trademarked blond looks and dyed his hair black for the role. He also has been trying tight sexy underwear as his bulge proves in the photo he took with James Franco. Will we see a full frontal on the theatrical release?

Last week we reported the news about the Hollywood adaptation of the infamous case about the murder of the owner of Cobra Video Bryan Kocis and despite that big names like James Franco and Christian Slater are involved in the project it’s another name what’s causing an stir among porn fans. Garrett Clayton, a former Disney star who’s biggest credit to date is the movie Teen Beach Movie 2, landed the part of probably one of the biggest porn stars in recent years, the legendary Brent Corrigan.
Comparisons are odious, but there’s a general feeling that he may not be the right choice to play such beloved and recognizable face in porn. You have to remember that Garrett Clayton is supposed to portray him as Brent was in 2007, a fresh-faced twink and not the handsome man he is today. Mr. Clayton must know the feeling pretty well as he has often being called “the poor’s man Zac Efron” or just another Efron clone Disney had stored in case the original breaks. It must be tough to live under the shadow of another actor just because you share a resemblance. We think we could give him the benefit of the doubt until we get to see his characterization of Brent in a trailer or actual footage, but since filming has only just begun last week, we’ll have to wait a considerable amount of time for that. In the meantime we have put together a special post to pit together the original and the future movie version of Brent Corrigan and we’ll let QC readers decide if this was a good casting choice or if they had preferred another actor being cast, or hey why not casting Brent to play Brent when he’s still active? The murder of studio owner Bryan Kocis by two of his stars, Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes, in 2007 is perhaps one of the most well documented stories in QCrimes history. Both murderers were sentenced to life in prison and the gruesome details of the case have fascinated audiences for a very long time. Books have been written and media attention faded with time but it seems that a new movie is about to reignite the interest.
QC has received information that Christian Slater has been cast to play the part of Bryan Kocis in “King Cobra” a movie adaptation of the book “Cobra Killer Gay Porn Murder” that narrates the horrific circumstances that led to the death of the gay porn producer who was stabbed 28 times and his throat was cut, nearly decapitating him. Kocis’ body was left in his house before it was set on fire to cover the evidence. The film effort is produced by Event Films and James Franco, who is also receiving acting credentials so we assume he will be one of the leads but his character has not been revealed yet. Filming has started and actress Molly Ringwald tweeted a selfie of her and Slater confirming her involvement in the project and apparently she’ll be playing Kocis’ sister Melody. We also have learned that newcomer Garrett Clayton (from Disney’s musical Teen Beach Movie) will play a character named “Sean” that we assumed is in fact Brent Corrigan, who if you remember, collaborated with the FBI in this case as he was an underage actor working for Cobra Video at the time of the murder.

It is worth to note that the social network site always made clear that it was not an escort agency and that their mission was to list the services for male escorts adding that they wanted to create a “non-judgmental space” where anyone curious about exploring male-male companionship can hire a man by the hour, “where men place their own ads and work for themselves, so that clients can contact them directly.”
In the papers, Rentboy has never being shy or obscure about their intentions and even participated in high profile events. A few years ago Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters even used Rentboy to promote the band’s latest album with a fake profile featuring suggestive photos of the frontman.
