During June 2004, Yi Shang, who plays forward in the games, was loaned to Spanish football team Jerez Club de Fútbol. He became the first Chinese national soccer player who played in the Spanish football league. He performed well in the games, but decided to return to his team in Beijing after his contract with Jerez Club was due.
