-Member of the 2006 U.S. Olympic speedskating team.
-2004 World All-Around Champion – He’s the first American to win the championship since Eric Flaim.
-2004 U.S. National Champion in 10,000-meter.
-Won first place in the 5000m 2004 World Single Distance Championships.
-At the 2004 World Single Distance Championships, Hedrick earned third place in the 10,000m.

-Won gold at the 2005 World Single Distance Championships in the 5,000m.
-Named U.S. Speedskating’s 2003-04 Athlete of the Year.
-Holds American speedskating records in the 3,000-meters with a time of 3:42 and in the Long Samalong, set in 2003 and 2004, respectively.
-Hedrick began speedskating in 2002.
-He was named as one of the “Athletes of the Month” for February of 2004 by the USOC.
-Earned third place in the final World Cup standing for combined 5000- and 10,000-meter event.
-Skates with a unique technique, called the double push or DP. It is now the standard skating technique for the elite skater.
-Is also an inline speed skater.
-Hedrick has won 50 world championships.
-Has a brand of inline skating wheels named after him called Hyper Chad Hedrick Micro.
