Queerying Ken Mack

Everyone meet Ken Mack, a professional by day, an adult site stud and upcoming Porn Star.
Ken made his first video for Bedfellows in Fall of 98′ before he left New York State and moved to Phoenix. In 2000, Ken started on Ifriends doing solo cam shows and then in November of 2003 he met Doug and Jay from Amateur Straight Guys and became a “straight-guy seducer.” Doug and Jay wanted someone gay besides themselves to mix in with the straight boys and get some action going. After 2 years of working with ASG, Doug offered Ken the job of Director of Marketing and Advertising. ASG has released Daddy’s Boys: The Best of Ken and it can be seen on Naked Sword and other VOD’s.
In December of 2004, Ken went to San Francisco and did his first video with Titan. Manplay 20. Next Ken made Manplay Extreme 3. Joe Gage and the casting director at Titan decided they wanted Kens’ first “real” video with Titan to be a Joe Gage film. To this date Ken has filmed:
Alabama Takedown, which Damon Demarco and myself were nominated for a GAYVN (the porn industries OSCAR) for “Best Oral Scene.”
SpyQuest2 – Brian Mills directing and scene partner was Brad Star.
Deep Water Beach Patrol- Joe Gage directing, scene partners: Tober Brandt and Derek Hanson. Which is going to be released in 2 parts.
Arcade on Route 9 – Joe Gage film, scene partner is a new Titan exclusive Cole Ryan.
SWAT – with Massive Studios and scene partners are Mick Powers and Jake Dakota. John Bruno, the director stated the Mack/Powers/Dakota scene is the hottest in the whole movie.
Manhole – Ken’s first film with FALCON for the new Mustang line was shot in March directed by John Bruno. Scene partner is Tim Towers.

Ken, make yourself comfortable on Doc. Feel’s couch and we’ll give our readers all the juicy bits on you and your career. I appreciate you joining us and sharing your life. You already know you are on the top of Doc. Feel’s list of amazing men and now many others will get a chance to see what I’m so excited about.
1. DF: First, how do you love my new office and furniture is it not amazing? You are the first to try out my new couch.
KM: I love the new space. I can’t believe you haven’t “christened” the couch yet. Maybe I can be first.
DF: Oh my, I feel a sin coming on….lol
2. DF: I have to say you have the cutest smile of just about anyone. Do you get complimented on it often?
KM: Actually, I do. I wore braces for 6 years, 6months and 13 days. Not that I was counting or anything. I’m sooo grateful that my parents made me do that. It kind of makes up for them taking my foreskin. Well, not really.
DF: Ouch!
3. DF: Your life and stardom have really taken off in the last few years, how exciting is all this for you?
KM: It’s still kind of surreal. I made my mind up to do this and now I look back and think, “Wow, I really did it!” It was a year from the time that I first sent my pictures to Titan until I actually went to San Francisco and filmed Manplay20. I just wasn’t sure if I wanted to go beyond being “Ken” at Amateur Straight Guys. I’m really glad I decided to do it.
DF: So are we brother.
4. DF: Ken, you are very different than the “typical concept” of a porn star. You are very down to earth and even have a professional job with ASG. What keeps you grounded from becoming lost in the transition?
KM: I just started working full time at ASG last December. Before that I was in a professional management role. I’m lucky that I have a very cool group of friends who accept the choices I’ve made. Working for ASG has been the perfect escape from a typical “corporate” job. I’m also lucky that we film everything for ASG right here in Arizona so I don’t have to travel much. I spend a lot of time floating around my pool and taking care of the new plants and palm trees that I’ve planted in my back yard.

5. DF: A review stated, “Mack is a built, furry-chested daddy” in Alabama Takedown. How do you feel about that description?
KM: I kind of consider myself a “Daddy in Denial” I guess I fit the requirements, but I just don’t see myself that way. At my age I guess I shouldn’t fight it. I should just go with the flow.
DF: At your age Ken, you put most 25 year olds to shame.
6. DF: Ken, 2 of your first 3 movies were nominated for GAYVN’s. That is pretty amazing. Your scene with Damon Demarco in Alabama Takedown was nominated for “Best Oral Scene.” You have to tell me, what did you and Demarco do to get nominated for the award? You must be amazing in that department. Spill it man, what made the scene so electric?
KM: Well, I am very orally fixated. Maybe I could show you later. Actually, Damon was a last minute switch for a different model that couldn’t make it to the shoot. We definitely had chemistry working for us. I was in to him as much as he was in to me. I found him incredibly sexy. I enjoyed every minute of the two days we filmed together. The trap door in the floor of the wrestling ring made for some pretty interesting camera angles. Those guys at Titan think of everything.
DF: Amazing Scene, It is one of my favorites. Nothing like the man in person though…
7. DF: What is a typical day like for Ken Mack?
KM: Right now I’m pretty domestic. I just moved in to a new house in June of 2004 and I’m just really enjoying entertaining at home and putting the final touches on my place. The members at ASG call it “Ken’s House of Meat”, but I call it “The House That Porn Built!”
8. DF: Paint me a picture of what your world was like as a child.
KM: I was a pretty happy kid. Always in special classes for the smart precocious kids. In 6th grade my best friend and I scared our teacher to death. She asked us what we wanted to do when we grew up. We told her we were too old for kiddie porn so we weren’t sure what to do now! She almost passed out. Turns out she was a big lesbian golfer type and my friend ended up being gay too. We’re still best friends.

9. DF: Are you close with your family and do they know about your career?
KM: I’m very close with my parents and some of my siblings. They actually don’t know about my career. I’m not ashamed, but it’s a difficult conversation to have when you don’t live in the same city/state.
DF: Besides, if they know they go looking for it and well, ewww. Mommy seeing it is a no no…lol
10. DF: Have you ever been recognized by the public, on the street? What was that like?
KM: Last year I was home for a family reunion. I was at Denny’s at 2am after a night of drinking with my friends and someone recognized me from my videos on ASG. That really blew my mind because I was in my hometown about 2 blocks from my parents’ house. My friends tell me I have quite a few fans back home that keep them updated on my adventures at ASG.
DF: Oh my…Fame…lol
11. DF: Was there any point on a set when you were extremely nervous? Tell me about it.
KM: I was never nervous, but during my first couple of films with Titan I always had to be laying down in order to shoot a load. I guess it helped me relax. You’ll see that I’m definitely over that now!
DF: How well I know.
12. DF: Best sex ever was?
KM: With my ex-boyfriend. Seriously.
13. DF: Weirdest sex ever?
KM: Getting a hard-on while I pissed on a guy during ManPlay Extreme 3. I guess I liked it.
DF: Please back away with the hose…..lol
14. DF: What kind of character do you think it takes a person to be amazing in the porn world?
KM: You have to be pretty free spirited. If you have a lot of hang ups it will hold you back.
15. DF: What made you decide to go this route in your life and for your career?
KM: I’ve always been an exhibitionist. I’ve also always been very sexual. I met my first boyfriend when I was fourteen and it was HOT! I’ve always known that I would be some type of performer. This was just the best fit.
16. DF: If I asked Demarco to describe what kind of person you are, what do you think he would say?
KM: Hmmm. I think he would say that I was very caring and easy to be around. We actually had a couple close calls while we were wrestling. I scratched his forehead some how and he was bleeding a bit above his eye. I felt really bad. It was hard sticking that broom stick up his ass too. I was really afraid that I was going to hurt him. He got me back with a knee in the nut sack while we were wrestling.
DF: Broom stick and a knee? You boys play rough!
17. DF: Without mentioning names, have you ever worked with someone you don’t like? How did you get around your dislike to continue working?
KM: Luckily, it was a group scene, so it was easy to keep busy with other guys that were on the set. It’s not that I didn’t like the person, I just wasn’t attracted to them sexually.
18. DF: What is the biggest mistake you have ever made on set?
KM: One time, during a cum shot, I had a really intense orgasm and I put one arm up, and back behind my head and completely blocked one of the cameras.
19. DF: Do you see any important trends in the industry of porn?
KM: Not sure. There seems to be something for everyone if you look hard enough
20. DF: What is it about the porn industry that you find least appealing?
KM: Can’t really think of anything.
21. DF: If you could pick any male celebrity to make a movie with who would it be and why?
KM: Jesse Metcalf. He’s the reason I’m hooked on Desperate Housewives cuz he looks like a morph of every guy in high school that I had a crush on.
DF: Oh yes, The Metcalf. He is fine.
22. DF: Do you see changes happening in the GLBT community? For the better or worse?
KM: People seem to be more connected and informed, thanks to the internet, but there seems to be less of a social scene when you can just stay home and hook up on-line.
23. DF: What are some of your favorite online sites?
KM: Queer Click of course! The first time I ever saw myself on a website other than ASG or Titan was on Queer Click. Just Us Boys is pretty cool too.
24. DF: How do you like those QC T-shirts?
KM: I love mine. I really don’t want to give it back, but I guess it’s for a good cause.
25. DF: What makes Ken Mack click?
