Rod Barry Enters Rehab For Alcohol Abuse

Ot his blog, porn star Rod Barry has been recounting his days of sobriety since he entered a rehabilitation program for alcohol abuse earlier this January. In an entry titled “My Battle” he wrote, “After twenty-years battling alcoholism, I’m checking into the VA’s alcohol rehabilitation program today. I’m not quite sure why it took me this long, but I realized that [I’ve] been hurting not only myself, but the friends and family that I love. Now I’ll get a chance to make amends and get healthy. The rehab program is a 24 day in-patient program.”
Rod says there have been ups and downs though he says he’s feeling better and getting his health back. He simultaneously quit alcohol and cigarettes, so he’s gained some weight. But he was also voted dorm rep of his rehab facility which has kept him busy and in charge of 22 other recovering men. In a more recent entry, Barry said, “I’m getting ready to move on to the next stage of my recovery. This Thursday I will be moving on to a six-month rehab program at another VA facility.” You can write Rod well wishes for a speedy recovery at his blog.
