Amateur Straight Guys Going Out Of Business

After a week without updates, one of the earliest gay-for-pay sites, Amateur Straight Men, will soon go out of business. They’ve posted a letter on the site outlining their reasons for closing shop and what they plan on doing with their current subscribers:

what they don’t tell you is that the ladder we are all supposed to climb is not always sturdy, each rung is its own calculation and often many slip off a rung or it crumbles beneath them sending them down the ladder or even to the ground. Unfortunately, these are the circumstances in which we find ourselves now…

I am not superman. For the last two to three months I have basically been the only staff member here. I have done all that I humanly could to produce, edit and publish content for you to the point of jeopardizing my health. I realized on Monday that I couldn’t continue if I wanted to have my health or any quality of life going forward….

So with that realization it’s time for us to come to grips with reality and realize that it is time to say so long for now. Amateur Straight Guys will no longer be producing new content. Over the next few days all remaining major stakeholders in this venture will meet and come to agreement on what to do with the site.

According to the ASG webmaster, Doug, current subscribers will get access to porn content “in many new varieties and formats so that you will not be cheated out of what you have paid for.” They’ve also promised to announce any new directions or plans for the site once they’ve decided.
