Ropes McGurk Porn Actor Fired From Police, Sues To Get Job Back

You may know Michael Verdugo, HGTV’s Design Star, an interior design reality game show in which he finished 4th. No? Well perhaps you know him as Jeremy Wess from his 1996 Rope McGurk’s video, Rope Rituals. It’s a bondage film in which Wess gets tied, whipped, and forced to cum under his master’s guidance. It’s pretty hot. Just check out the description:

Stunningly beautiful Jeremy Wess serves Master Chris McKenzie while tightly bound. Jeremy’s ritual includes being hogtied, bound tightly to the chair, and spreadeagled. Discipline is enforced throughout with the whip. While servicing his master’s arm pits Jeremy’s allowed to shoot a load. Three more tight bondage positions follow. The slave is in peak condition and gives his all. The whip and his master’s hand bring him to a rousing helpless cum splurt. This title can be found, in its entirety, on “Classics Vol. 2”

“Helpless cum splurt.” Classic! Sadly, that 15-minute bondage scene cost Verdugo more than just a teaspoon of jism. It also cost him his job with the Hollywood, Florida police force. McClatchy has more: :

Just after the video turned up in July 2008, Design Star uninvited Mikey V from a reunion episode. Hollywood Police put Verdugo on administrative leave with pay. An investigation followed and the department fired him in January 2009 for not disclosing on his police application that he had made the porn film. An arbitrator recently upheld the termination.

Now, Verdugo has asked his attorney, Alberto Milian, to file a civil lawsuit against Hollywood Police for wrongful termination and discrimination…

He believes his sexual orientation had plenty to do with his firing, that if a male cop appeared nude in a straight porn film his police buddies would be “high-fiving him in the hallway.”

Verdugo said he was offered a part in a gay porn film back in 1996 at the old Copa dance club in Fort Lauderdale. He filmed Rope Rituals in San Francisco, got paid $700 and that was the end of his porn career, he said…

“I don’t regret it,” Verdugo, 35, said of his one-time appearance at age 22 in porn, three years before he became a police officer. “It was a time in my life that I wanted to explore.”

We don’t think anyone should be fired for their porn past or their sexuality. And though we don’t condone lying (except for on your personal profile), we can understand why Verdugo would have left his gay porn past off of his application. He was afraid of anti-gay bias. But it also seems that he was out to his co-workers and he appeared on an HGTV interior design reality game show, which is million times gayer than appearing in gay porn.
So while he might have deserved a smack on the wrists for lying, we don’t think he deserves to be terminated. Oh well, maybe we’ll see him back in gay porn as a result. Our arms and mouths are open and ready to receive him and we’ve got the ropes ready if you decide to return, Jeremy.
