QC Open Forum: How Do You React When Someone Does Not Reply Back?

How do you cope with Social Anxiety? First, we’d like to make clear that this is not to complain about those people that don’t reply but to discuss the reason for why they do not reply. Facebook message, Whatsapp, Line, Grindr, Growlr, there’s no doubt that these days we’re hyper-connected and as we navigate the treacherous waters of hookups apps and dating sites we encounter many kinds of people. But there’s one group that puzzles us the most. Those users who read your message but end up not interacting at all. Is it laziness? Is that they are actually busy with something else and we’re not giving them the benefit of the doubt? Is it that they think that no reply is a reply in itself? The first scenario is like a red flag to not engage again with that person, the second scenario, though it’s plausible it is kinda ridiculous why they are online to begin with? The third scenario is a bit cruel, is it too much to ask for a minimum of politeness? We ask you QC reader, have you been in this situation, which side of the ignore do you find yourself most often?
