“In the late 1970s, San Francisco disco pioneer Patrick Cowley was contacted by John Coletti to score adult films for his gay porn company Fox Studio in Los Angeles. In recent years, Cowley’s work from the era was compiled for School Daze (2013) and Muscle Up (2015). Today, Dark Entries and Honey Soundsystem Records have announced a third and final compilation, Afternooners. It’s out October 19 on what would have been Cowley’s 67th birthday.
