Some residents act like they just don’t give a fuck. And, when it comes to rehabilitation and recovery, is a really big problem. Thus, one of the first jobs the guys have as House Managers is to try to break through that tough shell in order to involve them in their own self-help. More often than not, it takes a bit of tough love. It’s truly a shame when a young man with a long life ahead of him has given up. So, we personally take it upon ourselves to make sure they know that they have hit rock bottom. After all, as they say, “If you find yourself in a deep hole, stop digging.”
