The late Pete Burns and band Dead or Alive created this glittery tune by bringing the underground gay club Hi-NRG sound to the mainstream. With the help of talented producers Stock, Aitken and Waterman, this was their first number 1 hit and can best be defined as techno-disco – amazing to think that this production team went on to create over 100 top 40 hits for so many other artists too.
