There may be trouble over at COLT Studios because of a lawsuit filed by COLT founder Jim French against COLT’s current owners for “failure to pay the bulk of a $2.2 million promissory note related to the 2003 sale of the company.”

Jim French Studios Inc. filed the lawsuit in San Francisco Superior Court on April 13 against Prowest Media Corp. for breach of contract, naming as defendants current Prowest Media President John Rutherford, Chief Financial Officer Thomas R. Settle, among others… The suit alleges a failure to repay $1.24 million outstanding on a $2.2 million promissory note issued on May 1, 2003, upon the sale of the company by Jim French Studios to Prowest.

Prowest Media president, John Rutherford responded to the lawsuit with this: “As the old saying goes, ‘There are two sides to every story.’ We regret that Mr. French has chosen to pursue his differences legally where only lawyers will prosper. Please know that after nearly 20 years in this business learning from the best, we have every intention of working our differences out.”

When RuPaul made a montage video of fierce drag queens throughout history for her Drag Race, she overlooked one notable porn queen—Chi Chi LaRue! Apparently RuPaul called LaRue to apologize for the oversight and even promised to include LaRue in her music video, Don’t Be Jealous of My Boogie which you can see for yourself above. What a nice make-up gift and one especially kind since Chi Chi recently recovered from gall bladder complications in the hospital.

Nick Capra made a splash in the porn blogosphere with the

But The Sword took the trouble of slimming down the possible candidates to Hugh Jackman, Colin Farrell, Jude Law, Ashton Kutcher, and their number one suspect, Seann William Scott. Where that’d make sense because Seann spells his name with two N’s (gay!) and has shown his ass on film and agreed to a gay threesome in American Pie 2, some others are saying Jude Law’s the guy, because his religious upbringing would give him firsthand knowledge of which Christian hymnal to sing while being sodomized.

UPDATE: Joe From Southern Strokes Pleads Innocent To Five Counts Of Homicide

You may remember when we told you about “Joe” (aka. Scott Lamar Abbott), the 24-year-old Southern Strokes model arrested for his alleged involvement in a quadruple homicide. Apparently, Alabama law tacks on an additional murder charge when more than one person has been murdered, so Abbott’s facing five counts of murder for the early morning stabbing of four people on March 9, 2007. Abbott’s plead innocent, however he had been dating one of the victims, living in the crime scene, and had several knife wounds on his left arm on the day of the murder. The trial date’s set for October 5th with his defense attorney’s requesting a mental evaluation to see if his client’s fit to stand trial. According to the blog, One Hot Minute, Abbott’s been placed on suicide watch as he reportedly made an attempt on his life while in custody.

UPDATE: Compromise Allows Expelled Porn Student To Graduate

We recently reported about 22-year-old Randy Blue model, VIncent DeSalvo (aka John Gechter) who was expelled from Grove City College, a small Christian college in Pennsylvania, for appearing in porn. Now, it appears that he’s reached a compromise that’ll allow him to graduate AND continue in porn. The Harold has the story:

Gechter was about to make his final appeal to the provost when he struck a deal with GCC late Tuesday.

“(GCC) offered me a deal that if I withdrew, they would let me transfer a few courses that I need to graduate,” Gechter explained. “I’ll be able to transfer those credits to GCC and I will still graduate with a GCC degree.”

Gechter’s tenure at GCC officially ended on May 5 after he withdrew from the college. He said he plans to move to New York City in the next few weeks, where he will be headlining a play, “Love for Sale,” and also be taking his two bio-chemistry courses this summer.

“(The play) is one of the doors that porn has opened for me,” Gechter admitted. “I’ll also be looking at universities in the city, which there are plenty of.”

Gechter had considered suing the school for damages if he was indefinitely suspended. He had also planned to sue individual students for slander and defamation of character after receiving more than 150 of what he called “hate mails.” Gechter also said fruit was thrown at him in the cafeteria.

But Gechter said he is willing to let that all go if he can graduate with a GCC degree.

“If (the college) just lets me transfer credits and finish this situation quietly, (legal action) is not something I’m going to pursue,” Gechter said. “It’s not the best of all solutions, but it’s fair.”

Gechter also said he plans to continue modeling while he is in New York City, and will appear in an upcoming DVD.

Looking back, Gechter said he would not have gotten involved with the porn industry if he could do it all over again.

“It’s just created this huge hassle for me,” he admitted. “It’s caused not only a lot of academic problems but also family problems. It was only one of my possible solutions to the money equation.”

And what of the bastardy student who initially found Gechter’s porn pics on school computers and vindictively e-mailed them to other students (both in violation of school policy)?

GCC also did not offer any specific comment as to whether any students were punished for spreading the e-mail about Gechter, only stating that “in mid-April, the Office of Student Life and Learning at Grove City College received information indicating one of our students was actively involved in the hardcore pornographic adult entertainment industry.”

Hmmm… guess they’ve turned the other cheek on that one.
