It’s Breathing! It’s Alive!

QueerClick is back!
HEY EVERYONE!! HOW HAVE ALL OF YOU BEEN!?
We bring very good news. Yep, QueerClick’s back alright (we’re gonna give those Backstreet uncles a run for their money)!
If we could dish out a hug to each and everyone of you, we would do it right away! What the heck, here’s a digital HUG to you lovelies!
If the past two weeks were trying to the bone, then perhaps your well wishes, selfless offers to help, and generous thoughts of contributing to the site (both in monetary terms and in kind) were heartfelt to our core and made it all worth it. We didn’t know how much you guys love QC until now.
Your constant stream of emails to check on our health status and saying you missed us gave us the perserverance to see through the hellish migration process.
You know what? We missed you guys too.
We had wanted to be back as quickly as we could, but time after time, stage after stage we run into problems. From the webhost hunt, to budget issues, to backups, to publishing system installation, to script errors, and the repopulation of database. When we successfully got the content imported, the site layout was all over the house. And eventually when everything was hunky dory and in their rightful places, the site index wouldn’t load with new entries.
We’ve sent more support tickets than the number of toilet visits we’ve made in the last 10 years, and we’ve never loved the Help Manual this much!
But you know what? WE’RE BACK, BACK, BACKETTY BACK! We’re so psyched we swear we’re gonna kiss everyone who walks our way!

We Have Been Evicted.

Hi folks, thanks for the influx of care packages. We were down for the past 2 days due to our webhost terminating our account without notice and 2 months prematurely from the expiry of our account. We shall not elaborate any further at this point as nerves are frayed and we’re in a very delicate situation since the webhost has given 5 days for us to find a new webhost. Yes, we got served the eviction order.
We have not backed up our site when the site disappeared into thin air, and you can imagine the horror that was written on all our morning faces, dreading the imminent fate that this blog was gone for good and we had to start from scratch.
Thankfully, they have not trashed the site, and with their gracious provision of a 5-day window, we’re having the site backed up now.
We’re again on the hunt for a good webhost. Our past and current research show that no one comes close to our current one which provides 5.1GB of webspace with 330GB of monthly bandwidth at $7.50 per month. This site requires that amount of bandwidth and unfortunately most providers will only support that under dedicated servers, which we can ill-afford with our humble teeny weeny budget.
Whenever we come across pretty attractive ones they do not allow adult content. Argh.
If you have any good suggestions that you think might suit our needs (we’re willing to pay a bit more in exchange for a peace of mind and health), please get in touch as soon as possible so we can look at a few more options before deciding where we will plant our roots.
Migration is going to be monumental due to the size of the site, so we wanna be sure the next one is reliable and cost effective at the same time.

Rusty Gone

Hey guys, we made a post of the yummilicious Rusty Joiner (via Just Jared) over the weekend which has seen many of you gushing for him. One of our readers wrote “I’ve just seen the face of god”.
Anyhow, turns out that the excellent series of photos was taken by red-hot Lewis Payton whose earlier work for Brant Van Sant has been very well received. We thought the hairstyle on Rusty looked familiar (compare it to Brant’s)! Ha.
To cut the long story short, we found an email from LP this morning explaining about the “premature” release of the images by Ruster on his site and he has very politely requested that we remove them (for now) due to copyright issues. But he has promised to let us reintroduce the images to our readers when the time is ripe.

QC Forum?

You Want A Forum?
Hey people, a quick question!
Will you guys be interested in having a forum on QueerClick? For discussions, debates (healthy ones of course!), sharing interesting stories and adventures (and wet dreams!), posting of eye candies (most forums do not allow like totally NUDE and RUDE shots, but if we run one, we’ll WANT YOU TO!)…
Basically a place you all will be comfy in. Like an online cafe/pub!
Any response would be lovely! Let us know what you think by leaving your comments or email us!

WOW! That desperate call did work! This is the most comment-action we’ve seen in here in the whole of QC’s history. Thanks for sharing all the thoughts. We’ve even got Mr. NightCharmer in the house! Whoa.
Indeed, our doubts have been confirmed by some of you. A porn blog doesn’t quite conjure a discussive environment. Chad, you’re funny! Haha.
For every 1 person who is in doubt that a forum will work, there are 4 others who are for it.
We’re pretty sure then that a forum as a basic extension of QC to discuss about the hot posts will not work. What then is the comments section for? And that function in itself has been underutilised.
So perhaps it’s worth considering what value-additions we can have in the forum to make it work, and complement the blog.
Some brief ideas:
1) A flea-market exchange section for our readers to sell/buy/trade their wares. Old videos, mags, undergarments (!?), gadgets, etc…
2) A section for budding models/photographers/videographers to post job opportunities, and offer services or indicate interests in particular genres of work. This might serve as a good hook-up centre.
3) A section for bodybuilding/grooming tips.
4) A section to highlight or introduce great gay-friendly restaurants, inns, guesthouses, etc.
5) A section for all sorts of fetishes, from the mildest to the most extreme forms, like electrocumming?
and of course the usual sections where we can all post gossips, scoops, pictures of hot guys, public cruising areas, fantasies, real stories from the barracks, offices, and dorms?
You think?

Hey guys, thanks for the positive response so far! Some of you have also written in via email. But we would like to see more hands in the air!
We have at least 25,000+ hits everyday and it’s kinda disappointing we only get a few sparing comments in here compared to other “normal” blogs. The interaction is almost negligible and we’re afraid this might be symptomatic of the forum if we were to set one up. Maybe it’s too much to ask of our readers, and perhaps the nature/content of this blog dictates that people just come, view the candies, and leave. A big part of us wants you to prove us wrong.
Is it ‘cos this is a rather explicit blog? Are you guys shy? Hello, porn is the most normal thing in the world! Nothing to be shy about. Am sure you guys can do better! We’re bumping this right up to the top so keep the comments coming. It’ll be nice to see more response before we decide to pursue the forum thingie.
