I think Carter from Corbin Fisher said it best during the raw footage from the Gay Tag Team, " I think it's hotter to think of the guy as either straight or bi-curious. Maybe it's because straight guys can do it and go back to their life where pretty much no one knows (or will ever know) of their double life. Of course people find out, but in their minds, they're safe (and making a lot of money).

However, if you're gay and out in the community, people will definitely know that you do porn. Anywhere you go, everyone will know you're a porn star. And, that's a stigma that many people just want to have.

Personally, I think most of these guys on these sites (CF, SC, etc.) are not really straight, anyway. There are some sites where I'm sure they are (the REAL amateur sites), though. Either way, I don't see them as straight or gay, anyway. I just see them as naked men doing things to and with each other.

I had the opportunity to watch one of these films being shot. Out of five guys four of them were straight. There was a pile of pussy magazines that they would run over to every chance that they got in between takes for inspiration. After six hours of direction "get it up.... suck him like this not like that....can we get your dick harder?"...etc... I don't think anyone would have found it sexual in the least. The guys were so raw they could hardly put on their pants when the shoot was over. Actually, it was all rather pathetic regardless of whether they were straight, gay or what they were being paid.... and this was from a well known director. I couldn't watch any porn for a long time after that. Now, years later, of course I get off on porn sites. Who doesn't like looking at hot guys? But I realize that, regardless of their sexual identity, very few of these men do it because they like it. One way or the other they either are truly in need of money or are deeply in need of the attention in some way.

1) I don't think every one of the guys on these "straight" sites like SeanCody, CorbinFisher, etc. are actually straight. I am not saying none of them are, but don't believe everything you read in the little blurbs about them. My former co-worker (a gay man) used to write what is called "girl copy" for Playboy. In other words, all the stuff written alongside the layouts in Playboy about a girl, her interests, turn-ons, personalities, etc. we're created by a gay dude. So don't assume if it's written it's gospel truth.

2) I am personally sick of the gay-for-pay sites. There's still some hotness every now and then but they're so pervasive and they're so formula. Back when SeanCody was one of the only ones it was hot and all, but now it's a dime a dozen. And I can't really see how the fantasy keeps working when you see these guys who have "never done it with a man" and the next thing you know they are deep throating cock. I mean, do none of them have the actin ability to even lick at it tentatively before chowing down on it like a starving man who is finally getting a meal?

3) Finally, I think it's a bit fucked up that so much attention is devoted to these "straight" men. There are tons of hot gay guys doing all sorts of porn and maybe we need to stop putting hetero dudes up on some pedestal.

Doesn't bother me. In fact, gay-for-pay movies have given me reasons to celebrate life! The first time I watched a gay movie I was so turned off and traumatized by the essence of the femininity of the actors. The "males" and the scenes were not what I had expected. Since then, I only watched hetero movies, straight guy and gal thing. I'm such a hypocrite of course because I mainly focused on the guy.

I'm in agreement with TomC on this one and yeah I guess that also makes me a hypocrite. I'm just completely turned off by gay guys who lack even an ounce of masculinity. I'm sorry, call me what you want it's just not what I find appealing. I guess that makes me the ideal demographic for sites such as Sean Cody and Corbin Fisher. The problem with the whole straight guy-gay porn niche however is that there're only so many straight guys out there that are willing to fuck another guy for money so eventually as a producer your gonna have to get creative and of course they do so by quite often hiring gay or bisexual men while insisting to us the audience that their models are indeed straight when its fairly obvious to anyone with half a brain that the model in question wouldn’t even be able to walk a straight line if asked. The debate whether people are straight or not on any site will rage on till eternity. Only the person themselves knows their total sexuality, and sometimes they may not even be fully aware of what that is! So in that respect, almost every porn model is gay for pay, and for that matter straight sites are exactly the same. They are straight for pay, who is to say that all the models on straight sites are totally straight? I would guess there is a high percentage of them bi and/or gay. So I dont think this argument/bitch is basically relevant.

I think it's ridiculous and insulting to think that masculine equals straight. Ya know, one of the greatest things about being a fag is I don't have to worry about that shit. and if you do, I usually find you too insecure to be attractive. I personally have no interest in gay for pay sites, but that's mostly cause the guys look like every gay porno rag ever made..I prefer guys who look like the ones I want to fuck or actually am fucking..
