QC Crush: Nyle DiMarco ANTM’s First Deaf Contestant

A ball of charisma, that’s one of the many ways to describe male model Nyle DiMarco, contestant on the 22nd cycle of America Next Top Model. At 6’2″, with a muscular torso and beautiful blue eyes, this handsome New York native says he has one advantage over his competitors, his deafness. Nyle firmly believes that his condition is not a disadvantage at all as he has a developed body language, that gets along very well with the photographer’s camera, “ASL requires facial and body expressions, so that is indeed a skill that would not only surprise people but bring energy and story out of a picture.” Plus he’s immune to all the drama in the reality show as he humorously puts it “Fortunately, I’m deaf, so I don’t have to hear all of their drama.” We agree in all fronts!

Maybe it’s the beard, the gorgeous blue eyes, the washboard abs or the fact that he’s a graduated from Gallaudet University, the only university for the Deaf in the world, with a degree in Mathematics but he has us rooting for him.
