UPDATE: Lance Bass’ Mantastic New Beau… Just A Rumor?

Two days ago, we mentioned former N’Sync boy, Lance Bass’ vacation and new Brazilian beau, Gustavo Marzolla. But according to Made In Brazil, their rumored relationship might just be promotional buzz on Lance’s part…

I have heard today from Gustavo’s friends, and it looks like the story was planted and the rumors are not true. According to one of Gustavo’s friends, “he went on vacation with a group of friends last month and one of the many people in the group was Lance Bass. Gustavo did not even know Lance Bass (until then). Gustavo posed for many pictures and with everyone in the group that week. Lance used this opportunity to create some much needed buzz for his career by having one of his friends send in the photos with Gustavo to try to make it look like Lance is always with hot guys, and had a new Brazillian boyfriend. In no way is he remotely into Lance Bass.” And there is more: “Lance should come out and just say there is no story there, but he probably will not because the buzz is good for him. He totally used Gustavo.”

Hmmm… it’s hard to tell with celeb web rumors. Is Made in Brazil’s source an actual friend of Gustavo’s who knows what’s what or is this “friend” just jealous that Bass swooped in on their territory? We’ll have to wait until Bass or Gustavo speak. What’s saying Gustavo didn’t use Lance to get the publicity? Or maybe they just had a NSA bathroom BJ between beach breaks. Why’s it gotta be all scandalous? Either way, it’d be a shame if Lance wasn’t really able to hit that Brazilian wonder… how hairy, hung, and handsome Gustavo is! But even if it isn’t true, Lance has still had a pretty good dating history…

He first dated Amazing Race winner Reichen Lehmkuhl in early 2006. It got them tabloid attention and helped Bass decide to come out. Bass described their relationship as “very stable”—they split several months later. Shortly after, he briefly dated Brazilian model and LXTV host Pedro Andrade and New York-based hairdresser Ben Thigpen from August 2007 to March 2008. Thigpen and Andrade are rumored to be dating.
So whether he and Lance are dating or not, our boy Lance is gonna be just fine. He and Gustavo are still butt-surfing together, if only in our wet dreams.
