RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5: It’s Coming

Now that it’s 2013, we can finally get around to talking about what’s really important: the upcoming season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, premiering on January 28th. The competition looks to be pretty fierce this time around. Does this trailer do anything to whet your appetite?

What do you guys think? I’m desperately praying to John Waters that Jinkx Monsoon is actually narcoleptic, because “narcoleptic drag queen” is #3 on my bucket list..
I can’t say much for the other queens, but Detox Icunt (who you know from the Chowdown at Chick-fil-a video) is a fucking star. She’s a tremendous lip-syncher and just enough of a disaster to make her a brilliant drag queen. Based on very little empirical evidence, I’m expecting Detox to kick some ass and take some names. I mean, seriously. Look at that tongue.


I could talk about Drag Race until the cows come home, and then I could tell the cows about Drag Race. Who’s your favorite new queen?
