Wilfried Knight, Raging Stallion Star, Passes Away

Wilfried Knight, legend in the world of gay porn, has died. Several sources within the community confirmed the news yesterday and, though the exact circumstances of his death are still forthcoming, suicide is rumored to be the cause. Knight’s death comes on the heels of his partner’s suicide on February 21st. In the past few days, Wilfried penned a number of gut-wrenching blog posts, which can be found at his blog, www.wilfried-knight.net. Take some time today to remember and honor Wilfried’s work.
The official Raging Stallion Press Release had this to say:

“We grieve deeply at the passing of Wilfried Knight. We offer our most genuine thoughts of sympathy and warm wishes to Wilfried’s family, friends and loved ones. He was an extraordinary talent and a special man who brought joy to our hearts. Wilfried, we celebrate your life and your accomplishments, and hope that you rest in peace. You will be missed greatly.”

We’re really at a loss, readers. At least one member of Team QC was personal friends with Wilfried, and as a community we’re devastated by this news. Frankly, we’re tired of bringing you sad news like this, and not just within the porn industry. When will we be able to start having effective, productive conversations about depression within the LGBT community? Of course there’s love and support in the LGBT community, and especially in places like QueerClick, and we’re very grateful for it. But doesn’t it feel stretched a little thin when constantly invoked in the shadow of tragedies like this?
Rest in Peace, Wilfried. You are terribly missed. May you find the peace you were looking for.
