Adult Film Director Jerry Douglas Dies

The legendary filmmaker died in New York on January 9th, 2021.

After the passing of numerous gay porn personalities last year, it was sad to learn that adult film director Jerry Douglas passed on over the weekend. He was 85 years old.

The celebrated icon was not only known for his films. He was a writer, porn historian, novelist, and playwright. Douglas wrote and directed the play Tubstrip which was an important piece by the time it was produced onstage during the sexual liberation era in the 70s.

His husband attorney John Stellar revealed in an interview with AVN that Douglas died shortly after getting home from his dialysis. Stellar added “Jerry went peacefully, he just stopped breathing,” His multiple health issues such as emphysema, kidney failure, and lung cancer, contributed to his medical condition. “And yes, he asked his nurse for a cigarette at the end, even as she was putting an oxygen mask on him.” said Stellar.

Douglas shared his directorial talent with several studios including All Worlds, Odyssey Men, Studio 2000, Pacific Entertainment, etc. His latest work was Brotherhood under Colt Studios.
