Artist Wayne Hollander usually paints day glo pictures of old MGM divas such as Joan Crawford, but for his current collection, he’s paid tribute to some of our most beloved, but sadly no longer still with us, gay porn stars.
Wayne says:
In the early ’90s, I worked at World of Video on Perry Street. Every new Jeff Stryker or Ryan Idol release would cause sheer catfights upon the day of release, with their fans rushing in to check out the tapes. It was almost as bad as the day a Madonna CD came out! I was so starstruck by these gods who seemingly had everything–perfect bodies/hair/faces. I remember seeing Max Grand on rollerblades and getting the same butterflies I had when I saw Kathie Lee Gifford!
My curiosity only grew as I started to read of the tragic demise of so many of these men who were so idolized by the gay community. A lot if them led lives only Jackie Collins could have dreamed up. I wanted to do a series of portraits that paid tribute to these beautiful and tragic men.
They’ve often been called “banker wankers” but it all gets literal in Antonio Da Silva’s docu-style banker wanking 12-minute short film. We’ve seen the full video and love it. A hidden camera portrays sexual interactions between bankers in a public restroom during their lunch break. No words, just signs, few body sounds, it is a choreography around the urinal. The film was shot over a period of one year in London financial district. Around lunchtime — 12:30 to 2:30 P.M. is the peak time for a wank with a banker.
*No actors were used in the making of BANKERS
We came across a writer whose writing we wanted to share with you. And no this is not only because he’s a handsome, charming man, but because his writing is touching and compelling. We first became aware of him with his book The Shattered Door.
For anyone that’s grown up in a conservative environment, you’ll appreciate the story revealed here. If that wasn’t enough, we love the three queer fantasy Men of Myth books, also written by Brandon.
So we were thrilled to talk to him for a bit, as well as spread the word about these great books:
QUEERCLICK: Hi Brandon, we’ve recently discovered your books The Shattered Door and the three installments of the Men of Myth and we’re curious to learn more about you and the inspiration behind the books. Your first novel published by Dreamspinner Press, The Shattered Door seems as if it could be based on your own upbringing and early life Missouri and then Colorado, what inspired you to go down this storyline?
BRANDON: While The Shattered Door begins in Denver, where I’ve lived since I was eighteen, within the first few chapters of the book, the main character, Brooke, moves back to the small Missouri town in which he grew up. I’d say the 30-40% of the book is autobiographical. There are certain parts that are completely true, and many more that have large grains of my life woven throughout. Much of that book is centered on an abusive mother/son relationship. That part is fiction. My mother is wonderful. However, nearly all the aspects of being gay in a small Bible Belt town are inspired by my own experiences. When I was around twenty-four, my cousin Gabe was killed in a car wreck. It was while driving back to Colorado from his funeral that the plot line for this book began to form in my mind. The novel is dedicated to him.
Arian Levanael doesn’t go by the name The Amazing Ari for nothing. The Australian born globetrotter performs as an aerialist at parties around the world, dangling from pieces of brightly colored silks and showing off his incredibly physique, which is covered in Zoroastrian tatts.
Recently, he sat for an interview with an Italian website, and they, naturally, decided to dress him in suits. The results, which you can see below, were quite interesting.
In today’s world of reality porn, where a quick chat about college grades and girlfriends is an inoffensive preamble to hot fucking, there isn’t a lot of olde worlde scripted dialogue to set the completely unrealistic scene. You know, the two guys who sound like they’re chewing marbles while trying to present an authentic interpretation of a mechanic, talking to another mechanic about spanners.
Fortunately, such gems are preserved for all to see on sites like YouTube, and the multi-part featurette below is sure to give you some good laughs.
Overall, we find Vimeo to be a little gay-friendly, a little more explicit and interesting. So, we were excited to come across this video series, GAYS.
At the core of the series, it’s about four twenty something gay best friends navigating the tumultuous terrain of NYC. Huxley, a quick witted waiter and aspiring photographer. Ben, an attractive introvert who works for a gay non-profit. Jackson, a promiscuous overgrown rich kid. And Cameron, a dramatic drag queen with a love for old Hollywood.
Seriously, we’re not quite sure if this is considered a parody cos it’s so damn HAWT!! There’s been no shortage of Miley Cyrus parodies flooding the Interwebs lately, but none this HAWT. Can’t decide which is luckier – the hammer or the exercise ball. No wait, I think the pair of briefs on Bryan wins.
So who is this Bryan Hawn?
According to his official website BryanHawn.com, he’s a Zoologist, a Fitness Icon (being the best-selling health & fitness author of The LIST on Lulu.com), and a Recording Artiste. Not sure why Hottest Butt didn’t get its own tab on the site navigation bar? Haha.
Yep, told ya. An ass-citing spread awaits for you, Sir. Right after the jump.
Here are some amazing gifs cut from Nuance, a spectacular video by multidisciplinary artist Marc-Antoine Locatelli that features dancer Lucas Boirat combining his gift of movement with captivating beams of light. The interpretative performance Nuance presents a push and pull between the human silhouette and a shape-shifting abstract energy.
Check out the amazingly captivating video after the jump.
When we posted the recent Fanta-See photos of Colby Keller last week, we found ourselves going down a wonderful sexy rabbit hole—the photography of Gabe Ayala. You likely have seen his own work for several commercial and fun ‘zine projects. But we think his worthy of appreciating here in it’s own post.
As you may already know, we have a big ol’ man crush on Colby Keller beyond the confines of the porn sets we first learned about his sexy ass. And we follow his blog, Big Shoe Diaries regularly. So after being away for a tour of the U.S., we’re happy to see Colby’s back and posting. And we were so smitten with his latest photography set, “Fanta-See” he did with photography Gabe Ayala that we had to share.
Note to self….Next year THIS is what our birthday party is going to look like! Chicago resident and photographer Colin Davis has an eye for men. His work is unabashedly testosterone filled and full of dark eroticism.
July has been a big month for porn stars and the music industry. Following Steve Grand’s debut earlier this month, Colton Ford has released a new video from his latest album “The Way I am. Woop Woop!
You’ve seen Colton in several different places on QC for both porn and music, but we haven’t seen new material from him in a while. Welcome back to Planet Unicorn, Colton. Full video after the jump!
A few days ago, we introduced you to Steve Grand, a sexy new country sensation. Some readers have quarreled with our calling him the first openly gay country singer — a branding we stand behind, incidentally. However, in either case, Grand is here, he’s queer, and he’s sexy as fuck. In our previous post on him, we pointed out that in his latest video, Grand’s costar is none other than Fratmen’s Taylor.
One of our readers gave us a tip-off that has revealed yet another porn connection. Steve (or whatever we decide to call him) has done some modeling and has pictures on Adonis Male under the name Steve Chatham and Finn Deisel. And we should go ahead and say, he looks even sexier in his Adonis Male pics than in his video. Seriously, you can definitely see his dick in one. But that’s not the end of the story! [More after the jump]
Ok, maybe “star” is a stretch,” but a new country singer has emerged on the interwebz over the past few days. Steve Grand is a Chicago-based country singer who just recently released a new video for his song “All American Boy.” In the video, Grand falls for a preposterously attractive man, only to have his advances spurned (after some naked swimming and making out, of course). All too relatable, isn’t it?
Along with this video, Grand has also released a quasi-inspirational message (which, admittedly, feels extremely generic). In the statement, Grand says, “I fought with who I was for most of my life. In every way a young person can fight with himself.
But starting today… I’m laying it out there. I’m done playing it safe.” Suspiciously relatable, no?
