QC Gallery – Wassup?

We’d like to keep everyone posted about the QC Gallery (we receive too many emails a day asking us when the gallery will see the light of the day again).
We’re in the process of moving the entire gallery to a new server so it can handle the traffic better. Migration will take some time as you know the gallery is how we like it – HUGE.
We hope to reinstate it within this week. Check back.

QC Gallery – Argh!

Holy Moly Cow.
Sorry folks, we had to take the Gallery down for the nth time. Just can’t keep up with the traffic. Our new and bigger pipe burst within a half a day of reopening the Gallery. At this rate we’re going, we’ll be bankrupt soon.
Got.To.Think.Of.A.Solution. Back to the drawing board…

QC Gallery – Back with Josh Hartnett

Yes QC Gallery is back online now that we’ve installed bigger pipelines. We’re re-opening it with (a little) trepidation ‘cos we know some of you are gonna hit it with a vengeance. Fingers crossed that the new server will be able to handle the load!
After much deliberation, we’ve decided not to accept anymore new registrations on a daily basis. This will keep the number of existing members (all 42,527 of you) and bandwidth at a manageable level, without compromising on the site performance. Current members will be able to access the gallery area as per normal. We will be accepting new members every now and then and will notify everyone here when the window opens. So keep watch!
We will be adding more quality images to the Gallery, and we urge existing members to continue with your awesome contributions. Together we’ll make this one of the best free Galleries available. =)

QC Gallery Offline

Hey guys, just a short note to update everyone about the QC Gallery. We’ve taken it offline to sort out some server load and bandwidth issues over the last few days. Traffic was so high it was threatening to drag this site down as well, so we had no choice but to cease access temporarily in order to alleviate the situation and diagnose the problem.
The good news: Hopefully you would have noticed the faster loading speed by now. Everything’s sorted after a few days of troubleshooting and we’ve also acquired a bigger pipe to allow a higher and smoother flow of traffic. YEAH!
We know you guys need your daily dose of JO material and will be reinstating the Gallery over the weekend. Thanks for your patience and “abstinence”!
