Known for their robust and vibrant entertainment industry, how would Taiwan Top 20 Male Celebrities look like? Let’s not wait any longer and kickstart the countdown shall we?

20. Lollipop

Why settle for one when you can have many?! Lollipop is a Taiwanese Mandopop boyband signed under the label Gold Typhoon. The group consists of six members, all chosen from Channel [V] Taiwan’s show “Bang Bang Tang”, a show which sought to create new male artists in the entertainment business of Taiwan. Lollipop released their first solo EP in January 2007.

19. Danson Tang

Danson Tang is a Taiwanese actor and singer, who started his career as a model before pursuing an acting career and later singing. He starred in “KO One”, “They Kiss Again” and many other TV Shows. He has released several successful albums and even got his books published. Danson Tang’s first album “Love Me. Danson Tang” sold 50 000 copies after one month’s release, breaking over one million in sales. This sale result even exceeded those of popular singers. This is one star that cannot be ignored!

18. Joe Cheng

Joe Cheng is a Taiwanese model, actor and singer best known for acting in Taiwanese idol dramas. Although he started his career as a model, Cheng is most famous for his role as Jiang Zhishu in the Taiwanese drama serial version of popular Japanese manga Itazura Na Kiss, It Started with a Kiss. Cheng has gained much recognition as an actor in most parts of Asia, particularly Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines and Japan. Cheng released his debut EP, Sing a Song, in October 2009. His debut in QC was due to a scandal gay relationship with Mike He, and surprisingly, Mike He is just not too far away on the list!

17. Rendy Lu

Rendy Lu is a Taiwanese professional tennis player. As of July 19, 2010, Lu is ranked #41 in the world and #1 in Asia. At Wimbledon 2010, Lu became the first Taiwanese player to reach the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam, and the first man from Asia to reach the quarter-finals at a major in fifteen years. He made it to the fourth round without dropping a set defeating Horacio Zeballos, Michał Przysiężny, and Florian Mayer with Mayer withdrawing in the third set. The unseeded Lu achieved the biggest of the upsets on “Manic Monday”, by beating world #5 and fifth-seeded Andy Roddick in 4 hours and 36 mins.

16. Mike He

Mike He is a Taiwanese actor who started his career in modeling and gained immediate popularity with his attractive figure and handsome looks. Mike was quickly invited to film a few music videos before debuting in his first Taiwanese drama television series, Seventh Grade (2004) as one of the main characters alongside Ariel Lin. He later starred in another series with her as a lead in Love Contract. Mike He is no stranger to QC as he has appeared in a photo shoot for the movie “You Deserve to Be Single” and in one highly rumored gay relationship with Joe Cheng.
Rumors aside, back in 2006, Mike He acted as a 23 year old youngster in “Marry Me!”. The character “Bento” was innocent, easily pleased but also easily sad. He wanted to get married as early as 23 year old just because loneliness was his biggest fear. One of his video proposal is right below. Would you say “I Do” if he were proposing to you?
