Mike He and Joseph Zheng

Being past school mates, and having working as models together under the same model agency, the relationship between Taiwan actors Joseph Zheng and Mike He has always been rumored as “atypical”. Both of them appeared yesterday at a Taiwan press conference after their trip to India for World Vision. With Ricky Martin’s recent coming out still on everyone’s mind, the media grasped this opportunity to coax something out of the pair of them. Stating that Ricky Martin fathered two children with a surrogate mother two years ago and relating it to the pair’s experience helping poor children in India, a reporter asked the pair of them if they have ever considered having children of their own. To that, Mike became hostile and chided, “What lousy question is that?” On the other hand, Joseph only replied post-conference. He said plainly, “I’ve never thought of (having children) before.”
The media’s attempt to out Mike and Joseph has unfortunately failed.

In fact, as early as 2007, Taiwan’s ETTV News filed a report that Joseph’s leaked diary record of January 30, 2006 had reference of the relationship between Mike and himself using words that suggests a more-than-friend connection. It was reported that Joseph and Mike had known each other way back in 2002. And due to their similar age, personality, and the fact that they are colleagues, that people around them believed personally that they are happily attached.
It is a recent trend that celebrities who were not willing to discuss about their sexuality are gradually coming out of the closet. And most of them did so without having their career affected. QC believes that if both Mike and Joseph are together, all of us will give them our blessings.
