From Austria with Love – Conchita’s Bond Anthem

An outbreak of world peace followed Conchita‘s triumphant win at the Copenhagen 2014 Eurovision song contest with a BOND song “Rise Like a Pheonix”, watched by 180 million viewers accross Europe and Australia, (in US context, 110 millions watched Superbowl 2014). Conchita Wurst, the bearded and long-haired drag persona of 25-year-old Austrian singer Thomas Neuwirth secured an overwhelming number of votes across European states. It was simple, she had to win.

End of The Gay Identity Discussion
Conchita Wurst (Wurst in German means sausage, as well as “who cares”) is female gendered, whether the male sexed Thomas is gay or not, Conchita’s win serves as the best affirmation of Europe’s approval and acknowledgement of the gay identity and a conclusion of the European way of life – a discourse of inclusivity and tolerance.

“For me, my dream came true,” she added at a news conference after the win. “But for our society, it just showed me that there are people out there who want to go into the future and go on, you know, not stepping back or thinking in the past.” The people out there are here, and they voted for her during the last one hour of political nuance and nationalistic “Douze Points”. As democracy should have its say, Conchita won.

(is #winning appropriate here?)
Conchita’s identity as we saw on TV manifests itself in the forms of singing talent, contouring, creativity, bravery, timeliness, humility, elegance, multilingualism, presence, eloquence, and intelligence among others. If that’s what’s associated with the gay agenda, you would have hit gold having been born as a gay person. European voters have proved themselves that they have moved on into the future, a gay utopia where an unrealistically female looking and yet honest (biological beard) transvestite is seen for his qualities to represent and win for his country, in the sweetest fashion, stand up to anti-gay propaganda furthering their effort post Sochi-Olympics. It is Europe that’s made a statement rather than Conchita.

(How well do you know European flags?)
The Conchita effect pulled in highest TV ratings in Three years, and the singer is reported to rake in £25Million. What better stage to do that on if not Copenhagen, Denmark, the first EVER country to recognize same-sex unions in 1989. Denmark rounded its role in gay equality fight by giving Conchita’s symbolic win, impeccably concluding its disquisition with the glittering and compelling result that is Conchita.

From Austria with Love
I don’t remember the last time Russia scraped all the headlines like it has this year, but when it’s Austria’s turn, we just love how Conchita gave Putin the finger upon taking the spot light. Lady Conchita is one classy ass not to give Putin the satisfaction by mentioning his name, when asked if her winning speech “‘This is dedicated to everyone who believes in a future of peace and freedom, We are unity and we are unstoppable.‘ was directed at him, the bearded lady replied “Among others“. Class!

(Dmitry Medvedev & Vladimir Zhirinovsky have spoken out about the controversial win. 17-year-old twins Tolmachevy Sisters Sang while being separated by Chainsaw was this years Russian entry, landed at 7th place.)
Some not so classy but insightful politician in Russia, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, warned that Conchita’s win meant “the end of Europe”, adding “they dont have men and women anymore. They have ‘it‘!”. Do you hear that Europe, we have “it”! I’m an it boy and you are an it girl! But even before we were crowned the it factor, we came close to being censored. Belorussian and Russian broadcasters received petitions to edit out Conchita’s performance or even boycott the entire competition, claiming that “it” would turn Eurovision “into a hotbed of sodomy”. (according to NEWSru.com) Well, we are kind of it.
“Rise Like a Pheonix” saw a decline in Russian males’ facial hair grooming. They are shaving it all off in protest of the Austrian’s win, in spite of their national image of being bears. I can’t tell which is less gay.

It is kind of the end of Europe, the old Europe where gay equality was the question. In new Europe, sex is the question, and YES is the answer.
