We’re Hiring (AGAIN!): Features Editor & Writers Wanted!

QueerClick is once again ready to welcome a new unicorn (or two, or three) to our stable! As you are well aware, we do not stop dishing out the hotdogs at QC. We post 24/7 on 365 days. In October, we will be celebrating our tenth anniversary. Yep. 10. A decade is an eternity in www years. Yet, we have no intention to stop. Why would we, seriously? We love what we do so much.
We have SUPER exciting plans for QC Network this year in celebration of a decade of gayness – one of which is a BRAND NEW QUEERCLICK. We are in particular hunting for a kickass Features Editor and a few (also kickass) Feature Writers to join in the fun of creating the next lap of QC.

Do you have the chops?
We’re looking for über talented and passionate people to join our team for the long haul (we have team members who’ve been with us for 7 years and more, with our “youngest” member already into his third year).
Some of the attributes we’re looking for in the new guy (or gal of course) include:

• Fast and furious flair with words.
• You know what makes for a good story that will elicit dropped jaws and stiff cocks.
• Great in-depth knowledge of gay porn studios and models.
• Well-informed in pop culture and current affairs. You soak up news like a sponge cake. Ability to spot trends and stay on top of industry news and shenanigans.
• Have a burning passion for sharing the hottest men you can find with other men.
• Eat, drink, breathe the Internet = supremely net-saavy.
• Need to be savvy with graphics editing. Blend modes and lasso tools do not scare you. Dicing in Photoshop is your idea of fun.
• Have a keen eye for aesthetics that transcends into many areas including Typography. Anything remotely near to Comic Sans induces a splitting eye-ache. Bad kerning irks you.
• Have a wicked sense of humour. Your brand of irreverence tickles others, not irritate.
• Great on social media
• Timeliness and reliability
• Good personality. Plays well with team. Enjoys working without handholding and babysitting
• Integrity, honesty, no monkey business
• Excellent communication skills
• So yeah, basically what The Modern Writer is these days.

Bonus brownie points:

• Fluency in a second or third language.
• An unhealthy love for all things Apple.

The Job: Features Editor.
You will be responsible for churning out feature articles that are entertaining, well researched in a consistent and timely manner. You need to work fast and adhere to deadlines as breaking stories are time-sensitive. This is a part-time position that will require up to 4 hours of your day. If you’re looking for a secure and regular part-time job, that will also allow you some free time to pursue other stuff, this will be perfect.
The Job: Feature Writers.
We are also looking for freelance contributors. If you cannot commit to a more demanding commitment but would love to contribute to the site and earn some money on the side, this is the position for you.
